Meanwhile, men see an unrealistic body standard for the male body:
"I want to be like him, I should work out."

I thought the problem was that they (women) not only try to starve themselves and work out extensively to try to match these looks, but that they also then get surgeries and shit to stay "relevant" to the current definition of beauty. Games don't affect this shit though, we should be focusing on representation in things that are more significant than games

Transwoman here, I saw how women to be beautiful so I took care of myself and saved up money to get cosmetic surgery. Its all about the mentality of "I wanna look good like that I should do something" and be proactive to a goal unlike to the stupid mentality of "oMg ThAt sTanDaRd iS ImPOssibLe, I CaNt be ExAcTlY tHat CAnCEL It!!!"

@@crazybluedoge correct. Role models in society are important whether that’s, a fictional character, a religious figure, or celebrity with a good head and heart that happens to be fit or what ever. Role models are meant to embody certain Standards. The saying goes art imitates life and life imitates art. It’s a harmonious cycle of good intentions.

@@originzz Starvation when achieving certain body goals vary. Dieting is important to have certain weight goals and you can still eat. I used to cut weight for martial arts tournaments and I didn’t starve myself, I just ate healthy drank water and said no to a desert every once in a while. Discipline is very omniscient in society when talking about healthy body image. When it really gets out of hand is when people start doing unnecessary things like BBLs, and certain surgeries that goes against natural human biology such as botox. Long term health effects of that is severe. I see a lot of things here in Miami that are of what you speak of and you’re not wrong at all. Unfortunately in the case of this topic, the genre fell under videogames so videogames are the topic here due to the nature of my content and niche but absolutely you are right, many things that are happening in the virtual world transcend past the screen and also infiltrate a fictional landscape.

I just cant imagine purposely tanking sales of a game for feminism.

Asmongold mentioned something like that when he was talking about the new Star Wars game that just got announced. They took a face scan of a very good looking young woman and distorted it to look like someone entirely else for the sake of an agenda. Leaves you mouth open like dude did you forget how many millions of dollars went into creating this? You gotta get something back.
