100% agree. Luckily, I believe a balance patch should be in the works. I'd imagine content will be following that. Really hoping we get more transparency though.
@@terribletimmy2 I hate to say it but have ya'll forgot who's making the game?! Stunlock studios is not known for their ability to maintain or properly balance their games. Just wait until V-Rising gets the Bloodrite/Battlerite treatment.
Crossbow + Fear is a combo I see all day, every day. On the other hand, I rarely see Hand of Winter even being used to be honest. Most people I know and see run Reaper instead of Mace. I like the proposed changes for Crossbow, I don't know how I feel about the Hand of Winter change, on the Veil of Frost and Cold Snap changes I do agree again. I don't agree on the equipment change thing at all though. It's a very neat way to maximize the potential, it's extra expansive and during an actual fight not that easy to pull off while trying to dodge and getting into Wolf Form in the first place. On a different note, I heared you can macro your slots in a way, that you can use more than 8 slots, so this would also tacke it but then again, almost no one uses that but still.
Give Hand of Winter a try over reaper with this setup and see what you think. It is insanely easy to pull off with very low risk if you happen to miss and a ridiculous reward if/when you don't. Yes you can macro your slots, which I also think should be gone. I think inventory swapping is just too much. Sure it's min-maxing, but IMO there has to a limit somewhere, and IMO it's in equipment swapping while in combat.
have you not seen the freeze lego axe e spear q combo? i think cbow and mace potentially could be a problem but i 100% agree with removing the freeze off dash jewel. it makes everything else too strong esp whip e :(
Actually showed that at the end of the vid haha. And yes, it's busted. Mace would probably be better without the dash jewel, but honestly, I think you could still do something with Frost barrier (smack + instant recast to consume chill for freeze). Maybe not as bad, but I still think 125% bonus damage and so many easy was to freeze is too good regardless.
Sure, but that doesn't mean it's any less op. If there was an ultimate that one shot anyone regardless of level or hp, everyone could use it, but it wouldn't make it balanced or healthy for the game
If it's not one-combo KO-ing maxed out vamps I'm ok with that. Sorry but V Rising needs more combos instead of removing existing ones. I also think it could use an animation cancelling button to allow people to bait skills instead of having to commit. As long as they have to use all skills or near all skills cds I'm ok with it, it takes skill to pull that and commitment to actually acquire all the equipment pieces.
Combos aren't exactly the issue here. The issue is that these combos are WAY too strong and extremely difficult to play around, making it almost required to use these weapons/combos to compete. Having combos is cool. Having combos that deal 50% of your HP bar from (in the case of hand or winter) an unreactable ability is not healthy for the game. Keep in mind the mace combo is ONLY QE Space, and sirens wail is QE LMB. If EVERY ability was used to deal that much damage it might be slightly better, but in these cases, you still have spells and ult to use afterwards, letting you cover yourself and wait for CDs again.
@@terribletimmy2 There is a cancel, but it doesn't work as skill baiting like you can do on MOBAs like Dota2. I miss skill baiting in V Rising and it would make for a lot of interesting fights. QE and spacebar is pretty much all your cds, except ultimate, it makes sense to take 50% leaving you that exposed, I think it boils down to how the devs wants the end-game to look like, but if we consider the high-skill MOBA style, skill baiting and having a high-risk high-reward combos is a win-win for me.
Armor is duskwatcher set. Cloak is war-torn wine cloak. The helmet is Nightlurker head. It's unfortunately not in the game normally. We're only able get it via console commands
Nice video. For me the whole legendary idea seems flawed. While it sounds cool on paper and is fun for the first 1-3 times, it creates a huge cap between a lvl 80 and a lvl 91 player. The lvl 91 player often has multiple legendaries + lvl 4 gems against sanguine weapons and mostly flawed lvl 1-2 gems making it very hard for the average lvl 80 player to compete against maxxed players. Also for most epics it just boils down to get weaken on gs, get static on spear, just adding unfun grind until you hit the right thing. I guess they will let the community save theese problems with mods until the next update hits.
I absolutely agree. Gloomrot patch felt bad in this regard with legendaries, but at the very least it was semi-easy to grind them and the overall damage etc from sanguine to legendaries wasn't ALWAYS as big (specifically because no Drac armor sets for tons of crits etc, so crit damage and crit chance legos weren't critting as much as they do now). In this patch however, the gap from sanguine to artifacts feels enormous, especially with Lego spear, axes, crossbow and mace. The difference in damage you deal with Static spear vs non-static is frankly insane. Lego axe E can do ~200 damage. I also agree and hope that more mod support comes in the future.
This game really needs more patches. I also hope they keep working on it, the potential for v-rising with more content is crazy
