    If Bengaluru's 2nd Airport come up in Tumkur, It will foster the growth of North Bengaluru Districts. And at the same time the Hosur Airport may be helpful for Tamilnadu, Karnataka & Andhra people

      Andhra also has an airport plan in kuppam near hosur
      Since the current aviation minister from Andhra we will get the airport but building multiple airports in the same region might effect bangaluru airport

      @@kiranpandiyan159 The KIA Airport in Dvenahalli was set up at east most border of Bengaluru keeping in mind that city may expand more in upcoming years and also to attract Andhra people too. And we cannot witness any visible development there because it's not prone for development. But considerable growth could be seen within Bengaluru

    A new airport is not just about commute @SoSouth. It is about the region's growth.
    Hosur has now proven itself as a sustainable manufacturing eco-system. New players like Tata Electronics and Ather choosing this region for their factories is a very good example. Bengaluru should acknowledge this and work towards a joint growth.
    The major issue it the tax loss and administrative control. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu can come up with some excusive regional partnership and work towards opening special zones. The National Captial Region (India) is one such example which consists of districts from multiple states in it, or internationally we can take examples from San Francisco and San Jose (USA) model.
    The governments can make tax shares in land, vehicle and other registrations made in this region.
    When Indians are thinking about "The American Dream" for years, why not forge "The Indian Dream" here and now.

    Rather than international as that might not be possible till 2033 due to signed contract with KIA Bengaluru. Why don't he think of domestic atleast for now and later make it a international.. For that Bengaluru permission is not required.

    It's in krishnagiri. 50 kms away from electronic city.

      The facts are not correct…this is in Hosur and already the land acquisition has started. The new NH 844 will cut 15Kms. This is a boon definitely and we need to travel 60kms to reach the KIA airport and with this it will be 30Kms.

    2000 acres is not enough at all and Kempegowda will be handling over 100 million passengers by 2030 which is not enough so Karnataka is building airport away with another airport bigger than Kempegowda and passenger capacity as well.TN is wasting money here.

    Immediately Anekal to Devanhalli Halli no of trains to be operated with 3 AC bogies with time pu'chuality.
    Second from cikka ballapur to hindupur railway line to be taken up on top priority,so that some trains to be diverted from Yelahanka,so that the connectivity to air port will increase and it sve time allso.

    The new airport at Hosur will definitely lead to a twin city Ecosystem as Bangalore will grow in future towards Hosur seems to be a good area.
    The only issue can be border issues between TN and Karnataka as it will see TN capitalising on the popularity of Bangalore whose spoils were solely meant for Karnataka.

But the employees should also stay in TN. not like work in Hosur and stay in Bengaluru creating more crowds in Bengaluru. Also, jobs will go to TN but the problems will b for Bengaluru....

    Nobody would travel to Hosur airport which is 50 km from Bengaluru. Especially since there is development of Bengaluru metro to the airport itself. TN is wasting money here.

Karnataka is 2nd in GDP contribution after Maharashtra. We have other cities in Karnataka that are developing as well like Mysore, Chikamangalor,etc.So get off from your high horse and come back to reality.

    Parallelly, a metro network should also be constructed with limited stops to cater to this airport. In which case, it can be covered in less than one hour.

    There should be no problem if Hosur too gets an airport ALONG with second International airport in Bangalore. But not that ONLY Hosur gets and Bangalore doesn't get a second airport. It is very essential to de-congest Bangalore as much as possible. If Hosur gets an airport, most south Bangalore people might want to use that one instead of going all the way to KIAL. If another one comes up in Bangalore, it would be like 3 international airports serving Bangalore city and its immediate neighborhoods, which is awesome. The more infra you build, the more easier things are going to be.

    😂😂😂 guys please read the facts. Hosur airport cannot be constructed. As there is a bond between the private company in canada which owns more than 50 percent share in bangalore airport construction. Which states that there should be no airport either for domestic or international or just cargo should be conducted for 25 years from the date of bangalore airport construction. The bond only ends in 2038

      Hosur industrial development itself was initiated by M Karunadhi in early 70s. Do the fact . FYI TN govt holds 26% stake in Titan Industries along with TATA.

    Hosur International Airport
    Tumkur International Airport.
    Both Should be Constructed.
    People from Coimbatore, Salem, Jolarpattie can use Hosur Airport
    While People from
    Tumkur, Hassan, Chikkamangalore, Bangalore can use Tumkur International Airport.
    Connectivity between
    Electronic City & Whitefield to Tumkur International Airport and Tumkur Industrail Area can easily be established through Metro Trains, Suburban Trains, Road Network compared to Hosur.
    So I don't think Hosur International Airport will affect Bangalore International Airport and Tumkur International Airport in anyway.
    Tamilnadu Govt may Consider Building Coimbatore International Airport instead of Hosur.
