i think people really undervalue zeus in vs. i played thousands of games with vs and going second into zeus is always my main aim to break boards. also theres a fenrir+madlove line that leads to a razen that you can summon in the same turn. hopefully more people pick the deck up since its a lot cheaper now, the most fun you can have in ygo ngl
In my experience as a VS main, Zeus is kinda meh, its nice if you go second and need to go into the battlin boxer xyz to search razen first. I find myself rarely go into the extra for anything other than the BB xyz, rock, typhon and SP, outside of that everything else is what it is
I know its not budget but I play the fiendsmith engine with a unchained package which with 1 fiendsmith engraver and a way to razen gets you soul or rage, wave king, rock, jiaolong, snow devil, yama in grave, and razen in hand.
With my experience with post ROTA Fiendsmith I know enough about it to say it's almost its' own deck. But I had to play a Azamina engine and a couple of Fenrirs. The problem the deck has at the moment is if you get Lacrima and send a Engraver to grave you'll have enough to make Desirae but you'll have to make Necroquip using Lacrima and Requiem and you do all of this all you end on is Desirae and S:P. You'll have a ridiculous amount of non-engine because your main engine is only 13 cards. Because of Requiem and Necroquip any 1 light fiend gets you materials for Caesar. However that is so fragile that the deck right now just needs good engines that can support it. If the deck can do I:P into S:P and Desirae sometime in the future without outside help I think it could be a real deck in combination with the Azamina and/or Phantom of Yubel engine(s). What I would like to see is a more beefed up version of Lacrima that locks you into fiends that can allow the deck to end on I:P into S:P Caesar, and Desirae. If we can do that without making other fiend decks broken I think that would be enough for the archetype to stand on its own.
I have been playing VS with a Kash package since I started getting really back into YGO again. Personally, I play a Magnamhut and Druiswurm in the list since Magnamhut can search *ANY* Dragons we play so you can count it as well as being a few more darks in the list (ngl I really enjoy just drawing a card sometime😅).
Got to love when a deck goes from being not budget gets reprints becomes budget just for people to buy out the stuff that didnt get a reprint to make it not very budget again lol😂
nah cali kaijus dark and earth with slumber instead of nib, or kuri . nib is good but that light really doesnt feel good plus most decks plan to play around it unlike having a kaiju or kuri that is fire earth or dark and does spot removal. bystials are good slots too for removal for pesky gy decks plus a body . flare metal xyz for a 7 for a little burn . thrust package if they get checky.

Just went 5-0 at locals with a list very similar to this! The deck has way more outs than it gets credit for and can sneak around too many disrupts.
Playing around disrupts well is not a problem this deck has, consistency is

Kurikara works really well going second btw. Espcially if you're opponent has a large board

Chakanine only needs two you can overlay boarbow on top attack directly and make zeus
