At the start of the video I was thinking this looks so easy that I could repair it - and then you turned it over and we saw what a mess the front of the headstock was! Very nice repair 😊
Thanks Tanya! So interesting that glue alone produces the desired outcome for this restoration. Surprising and satisfying. I can imagine the smile on the owner's face. Respect you so much for your skill in this craft! Thanks again! Cheers from WA state, USA.
Modern day adhesives are superior to the old hide glue I only use hide glue for fret board so they steam off easier . I am 73 and i do not say old is the best . Our modern adhesives and finishes are far superior . Cnc are the new craftsman . I still do my necks with hand tools expensive ones. Tanya is a very good luthier . Does not take long to carve a neck.
Well actually I'm trying to repair by myself an economic classical Thai I have since I was start playing. It's the second guitar I got from my parents and it's really affective to me. I'm not a luthier, but I'll try. Your videos are so encouraging!!! But you are a professional, too good professional, so I hope to obtain a decent results 😬 cheers!
I'm surprised you didn't use any alignment dowels to re-attach that head to the neck! As always though Tanya, you made it look like new in the end. Great work! Thank you for sharing, and stay safe.
I like the close camera angles and I like the background noises from the workshop, but I'd like to see your face at least once in every video (& maybe Tilda too). I'm like the other watchers who thought the repair looked real easy until you turned the guitar over to show the damage to the face and the edge of the headstock. Once again you make it look easy
Oh, so those nails are time stamps for future... Good idea! Like SmarterEveryDay uses digital 8bits clock on the wall))) Excellent video as always! Thanks )
If you're talking about the product that she applies from the long narrow dispensing tube after she colours with the marker, that's CA glue. Otherwise known as 'super glue'. The spray was an accelerant to make it dry faster.
The only thing I'd have done differently would have been to drill into the neck and headstock (if possible) and insert dowels into the wood to help reinforce the joint and strengthen it. But other than that, looks great anyway regardless! Єдине, що я б зробив по -різному, - це свердлити в шию та підстороні (якщо це можливо) і вставити дюбелі в деревину, щоб допомогти підкріпити суглоб і зміцнити його. Але крім цього, все одно чудово виглядає незалежно!
please tell me this was a "just because" or boredom fix because that repair in labor effort and materials is 8x the cost of that guitar, new....easily.
Don't get me wrong, but this is by far your worst job, you took the shortcut to make the job quickest and easiest for you. And now, your nails, I don't know if you follow a fashion or want to launch one, but since I've been watching your videos, you seem to have a problem with your nails, it seems more like a deformity than something that should be beautiful. Just saying. But I like your videos, but. the way you did it today, it's not cool for me to watch. Luck, success and happy 2025.

That extreme angle! Below the nut just a strand of wood. These instruments are a joy for luthiers, for sure.
Amazing work, Tanya.
Genius, a perfect repair, you would never know it was broken.
I love to see that kind of commitment . Guitar the best adventure in my life since 1965 .I admire and respect this young lady
Tanya does it again, excellent work! 😁👍
this was very satisfying, it looks as good as new!
Thanks Tanya! So interesting that glue alone produces the desired outcome for this restoration. Surprising and satisfying. I can imagine the smile on the owner's face. Respect you so much for your skill in this craft! Thanks again! Cheers from WA state, USA.
What a neat repair!
That's just ridiculously awesome work, Tanya....thanks for sharing!!!
Stronger than before the break now

Fantastic work as always .
Great repair! Surprising how nice a result you get using super glue as filler for a large area.

Excellent job Tanya! You do amazing work!🙂👍
What a great piece of repair work. Inspiring.
Very nice, couldn't tell it was ever broken! 😊
That turned out well!
Tanya's workshop is where I want to be! Glue me up and clamp me down.
Happy new year!!
Yay, you're back!
Great to see you Tanya. Your hands at least! Happy new year
Fabulous Tanya. Happy New Year
That was impressive!!!
👍👍. . . outstanding work with the chisel . . .not easy to do small work like that . . .
Easy ?! That was truly amazing. The lucky owner was blessed to have you restore his guitar. All respect !
Keep on teaching! Thanks
Amazing job, you wouldn’t know it had been broken, and that repair would be stronger than it was originally.
Apparently not very strong in the first place.
Haven't seen a broken fender neck on TH-cam yet.
@ very true, crappy design!
Wow nice work!!!
Wicked repair. Love your nails.
Black super glue from Stew Mac would have made that repair super fast. Looks great for sure. Impressive repair 👍👍
Bravo on the face work on the headstock! Forgive me please, but I doubted the outcome. I applaud your skills. Keep the videos coming. Thank you.
Great repair.
Hi Tanya, good afternoon, congratulations by your video, cheers and have a nice weekend for you,and also happy new year!!!!!!!
Its always a treat when i see your vids pop up in my feed.
Looking good!
HELLO BEAUTIFUL TANYA . YOU HAVE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB .Awesome video .
Wow! Very impressive by the end.
Great job!
I'm surprised you didn't use any alignment dowels to re-attach that head to the neck!
As always though Tanya, you made it look like new in the end. Great work!
Thank you for sharing, and stay safe.
I believe the value of the repair far exceeded the value of the instrument in terms of cash, but sentimental meaning can be a high value too.
Nice job!

Wow.. so good!
THANKS FROM JUPITER FLORIDA.....YOU ARE THE BEST !!! SAY HELLO TO MY FAMILY IN KORETS !!!! STAY SAFE !!!
Well, that was an ACCENT waiting to happen. I'll get me coat.
Nice! Black Resin would have also worked for the top.
Gorgeous Mrs Guitar Doctor ✨⭐💫😍
Wow nice 👍
Since this is a cheap brand of guitar this repair was the way to go...otherwise it would have been better to just buy another one like it?
Re-capitation! 😊😮👌
I have Ted's merch T-shirt with "Re-Capitation Services" on it :)
@ same….🙃
Bravo!!!
Please tell me the product that fills the wood and looks like its water activated.
Thanks
Great job.

In the voice of Bobb the builder.... Can she fix it? Yes she can 😂💪🏻👩🏻🔧
Looks better after without the gloss
No reinforcement?
Perfect.

Tanya keeps on getting manicures from extra terrestrials. LOLOLOLOL
Доброго вечора!)
Який Ви використовуєте аерозольний лак? Хочу таку саму фірму лаку купити.
Eagerly waiting to watch the "easy" part in the 2nd video... LOL
You have a new tattoo. Very nice.
Great video,,but way to short 😊
What is the clear glue you are using and the activator?
Nice work! Titebond woodglue never lets you down, unless used on something other than wood maybe.
It will never hold, I'm afraid you'll see this piece at the shop again soon my dear
Did you ever try to tint glue for a repair job??
Exactly what glue was used to fill the voids?
I came here to ask that too. Is that just CA glue in the clear tube? or some kind of clear coat?
Tanya not sure if anyone else mentioned it but the style of the cc is really tough to read ha
Wish you were my neighbor...I got lots of work you
No trussrod!
But will it last. I seriously doubt it.
Nice work!😊
But not so easy in fact..
😮
Прикольно 🤩
Wow you can’t even tell it cracked
She does amazing work!
👍
pt 2
❤ 👍
Nice repair! But what's with the fingernails? Looks like hot glue!
That piece you clamped to the headstock whilst the glue dried didn't seem to have any purpose
wish your nails weren't so weird! that's all I can look at.
Should have never broken in the first place B.S. construction methods are inferior material
😍
please tell me this was a "just because" or boredom fix because that repair in labor effort and materials is 8x the cost of that guitar, new....easily.
It’s the owner’s favorite guitar, so maybe it’s worth it to the owner for sentimental reasons..
@@hackerguitar yes, that.
