If u like hardcoring the game and are solely focusing on builds, you probably will get bored soon. I like to design my base and keep continuously tweeking my house. I like to banter with my in game friends. So as long as i have friends to fool around with. I am happy
That's what i have been doing lately. I have rebuilt my base 4 times this season. Just making it better each time. I don't mind the farming aspect of the game, just the end game stuff is slim.
It's definitely a new game with limited content but I see the potential. As many have stated here in the comments it is something you can take a break from and then come back and grind to enjoy the new content then rinse and repeat. For me personally the storyline and content is what is making me slow down but all in all love the game!
Developers have said they are aware of a desire for a play mode with longer terms for resets, but as of yet are unsure how to play that out. Its on their radar though.
Im on my 7th, but im taking it slow. Get to 40 for tier5 gear in the first 2 days and then do bare minimum each week until pro phase, then play more actively until the settlement week. Winter was annoying because of two sets of gear, but there was no rush for global starchrom tasks. Manibus hard is annoying because of constant eating and prime war rushing for 1st time completion, but its easier to survive and farming stuff is not as annoying. I have bought almost all the weapon blueprints and key armor for them(like 4 missing), so im probably going to be playing normal from now on.
I do not like the 2 sets or gear thing. I do like that the different skins have different stats though. Next one i am just gonna lvl up and build a cool base. that's about it. Acid making and farming is what i want to master next time.
8th Scenario with 2 chars (4th scenario with 2nd char and 4th on main char)i dont do alts. Just made a 2nd char to play with friends. Honestly, it isnt that boring, WoW is kinda good in paper bad in reality, so yeah. The spark I had with this game lives on, building bases and messing around with the community is the best thing.
The base is the only thing i am interested in now atm. You can't deny that WoW is the most popular game so far. By a long shot, so they did something right.
The Way of Winter was interesting at the start, but as the phases went by it seemed like the scenario became more broken. I had encountered patches of the map the size of a standard foundation block that were +90 degrees in a cold zone, and my home base had a tiny spot the size of a chair that was -40 degrees in a hot zone. Combine that with the general bugs, mini bosses' health becoming reset or just not functioning as intended, the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth @.@ I opted in the end to use one of those "get out of the scenario early" cards and yeeted myself back to Manibus where at least the game feels more stable.
I just ran across that too. In the cold zone but instantly caught fire and died. 90 degree C.... It was frustrating. I figured this would be the easier one... lol
As a game designer a lot of people do not look at everything in play. Net Netease most likely pushed to release. Even if it wasn't ready. WOW should have been pushed back and polished before release. Developers are nearly powerless when the publisher is calling for a release. It's all about money mate.
@@robmathieu5597 yeah I get that because we see this in BGS more. Starfield should have been more polished than it was before its release, but money talks
I was worn thin on the leveling during the first couple weeks of Live game, due to the fact that we couldnt get all of our friends on the same server during launch week. I have played every phase so far, and leveled at least to 40 on 4 different servers during the first two weeks. This game either needs some aggressive new content in each phase to make the leveling worth it... or it wont be around with any significance come summer 25.
It does get repetitive for leveling. I think the lack on end content is the only thing keeping it alive. The 6 week reset keeps people from finding out it lack the end stuff.
@@1FIVE1GAMING the alt character thing would be fine, if all your characters shared the same base. my server right now, with only 3 worlds, would be a pain with allowing alts. there isnt enough space now. let alone silver/gold/startrace nodes or elites to farm
Tbh I am on my fourth season and I think I am going to stop from here. Nothing really gets the game going besides the PVP part. But other than that. The story line was good just can’t keep doing it multiple times. It’s repetitive. I think the most interesting part of this game is building. Farming. And then after that PvP. That’s it. But not keep repeating every single season. It was a good experience.
The building, faring and crafting is the part i like. I think the next might be the last. I just think the end game is non existent for the most part. Why try so hard to get erased in 6 weeks.
I'm in my 2cd season and already i've looted most things i can get. I'm not buying cosmetics ever. I bought a battlepass to support the game after having already played 200hours (380hr now) but that's it. I want a persistent server that your seasonal character transfers to, or at least all of the items that already transfer to eternal land, goes to that one character or a combined non-season inventory. I have read that they're looking at doing this so that will be very cool. We need more End game Content. PW getting boring fast and running Silo and Lea so many times gets tedious. Do what Diablo series has done with "Season" play. Create a new season with all new weapons\armor\mods and builds, but only accessible in season until it's over. They transfer to non-season and now that character can use it. You get to keep your combined inventory to use in non-season, while still getting new content in seasons. Also, they REALLY need to lower the prices on cosmetics. So many people won't buy because it's just too expensive, so they make it for the whales and the majority are left out. $50 for a building skin pack!!! (glass walls) hell no. Make it $20...and maybe. Plus, more people would consider spending money if everything was cheaper.
Cosmetics are cool but 50 for them is outrageous. I would love to have a prema server and more end game as well. next season my be my last is it is the same. At least they gave you choices this time.
Level? I thought cook salt, smelt iron/tungsten and grind acid while you have the cabbage farm and a bee is good enough? 2 hours a day, 3-4 hrs on weekends.. add a buddy if necessary.. i think that's good enough to max out before last 2 phase of a season.. anyways.. i've been playing games for more than 20 years and yet, im not confident to call myself a gamer.. 😅btw i've played "the cycle" for a few months so, server reset isn't a big thing for me.. cause there, literally everything will be gone.. but here you retain some core char lvl property like blueprint lvls and so on.. this game can be good and long lasting if the devs gives more development and scenarios..
I crafted a character from 20 to 50 pretty fast. I'm not really a gamer at the moment but was during the earlier days. Played in some of the top guilds on the servers and lead raids to high level content. Was even the stand in guild leader for a period when ours went on deployment. The problem with new content each time opens up new glitches which i have come across this season. Really bad ones that aren't in our favor. lol
What made mestop is not redoing most things every month. It's those shitty multi-account players that ruin the game, using all the place preventing players to have some oil, monopolizing the perk system because they have all the good ones for themselves...
@@1FIVE1GAMING PvE has it rough in games like this, reminds me of ARK which was the same, but kind of worse since the servers didn't wipe. I don't mind PVP just not all the time. In certain areas, server, etc. But I have play where people camp at certain areas that they know it will be easy to kill someone. Like a major Boss fight and they come and wipe the group... kind of like a sucker punch thing to do..
I did it once and lost interest. Game is rip off from defiance. The only thing changes is set of gear you use or how many different ways you can build your home. Plus server lags are horrendous you can have ping 30 and game on SSD,location assets can take up to minute to load. Piss poor optimisation but hey can't expect much from mobile game developer pushing fast to pc market. Oh btw let's not forget bugs like territory turrets that are pretty much sentient and just choose not to work 80% of the time. Game is fun and suuuper simple even without maxed out gear you can solo silo's and bosses on hard mode no problem if you have opposite thumb and iq higher from a horse not to drink water from the bucket. Game is good for casual gamer, commitment is not advisable as repetition of same thing with just minor changes is plainly boring.
This lacks what the long term games have. The end level game for those who want to continue improving. I think the next one might be my last. I don't want to replay over and over.

It's the most satisfying part of the journey.

The game has a low amount of content. Nothing wrong with playing a reset or 2 and then picking up something else until new content comes out.
