(Quick Update) Two things I forgot to mention: (1) The new UI works on VRM Remote Console as well (Browser or Mobile) and (2) from the Overview mode you can tap on any component that has a box around it to see device details without having to go into the settings. Post here if you discover any cool features 👍
Yes it does. You could start with a Victron Smart Shunt and Cerbo S (amzn.to/3C3p9Wq) which will give you remote battery monitoring. When you add Victron controllers and an inverter, then you just connect them to the Cerbo.
I have the poor man's Cerbo RP, the Raspberry Pi4 edition. It was a pain to set up and make everything work like I wanted, hopefully this update isn't going to be a big pain too. I think I'll wait on the guru's that like to tinker with computers more than I do to install it and make it work before I dive in. The new graphics do look nice compared to the old Atari style graphics they have been using forever. Thanks for the preview.
Didn’t know there was an up grade. Going out to mine now! Wonder how it does my mopeka tanks sensors. If you don’t have them. I use for my propane fresh and grey tank. They connect to cerbo via Bluetooth. Also have temp sensors
I just installed 2 lithium batteries. What do I need to start using this Victron system? I have 2 LiPo 100W batteries and 1 solar panel. Maybe 200w. I’d have to look it up. I’ve always just let the batteries do their thing. Now, I’m thinking I need to monitor what’s going on with my system, like most people are doing, especially since I may start boon docking, more. I’m usually hooked up to electric. Thanks Tito
Just tapped the screen on my cerbo GX and it is frozen, shows the uograde is available, and a box saying Next, but everything is frozen, not a good start to an upgrade :(
@@RVwithTito An update for info sake. Mine updated to the 3.5V but I do not have the touch screen as you. (I can't swing one yet) so I use an android tablet by the viltron equipment. It still shows the "old" system... maybe I am missing a step. I'll check back on your video. ... I am trying a manual update via the software and see what it does. I may have to wait until I pick up one of the interface screens... pb
@@RVwithTito Groovy groovy groovy. I set to the new UI i=on the internet and also went to the android and rebooted the CERBO and when it came back up it gave the option to use the new UI .... Thanks so much and you deserve a pay raise :-) .... pb

Thanks for the video. I didn’t know victron had a big update for the Cerbo
Wow I love the new look. So much easier to view your data.
You bet. I'm looking forward to getting into it more.
Im currently putting victron in my new trailer, i wasnt going to do the cerbo part but now that looks awesome.

You bet.
the new layout is great. one think missing now however is vnc connectivity, but you an have multiple browser sessions active and that is a great thing
What are the applications for VNC? I use the Remote Console feature quite a bit.
This is a long-overdue update. The now 'old' interface always reminded me of the ancient Garmin navigation devices.
I think I have an ancient Garmin device :)

Sounds like a plan.
I'm definitely going to upgrade.
Do it 😎
I just want to be able to switch my temp readings to freedom units

Very Cool 😊
Agree. I love these kind of updates 😀

Cool! Does the Multiplus II have to be on a certain version? The last time I tried an upgrade it wiped my settings out on the inverter.
Not sure, but I haven't updated my MP2 firmware in a very long time. I update my solar controllers and Cerbo more often though.
@ i updated and its beautiful! The Ruuvi sensors are simpler to edit now as well. Nice!
No. Don't upgrade that unless you have to. The new Cerbo software is independent of the MP software.
Is metal going to start floating around the room?
And it works with RPI based systems too, just upgraded mine succesfully!

Nice. I'll give it a try ... pb
Yeah. Give it a go. 👍

@davidpatrick1813 If you open the Remote Console from the VRM app then you should be able to activate the new UI. I just trued it.
@@RVwithTito Oh, will give it a try. not sure which option to catch that /// step by step..
