      Glad you enjoyed it. It was a last minute decision to turn on the camera. I was just checking off my todo list. I'll try and do that more.

    Very Interesting Brian. I had never heard of your rustproofing method. 👍

      I've used it a few times. You can also use different oils for a different colors.

    This was excellent. Doors are something I fear replacing so now I know the (painful) process. Thanks Brian.

      It was a long process to get the door. Normal estimate was 6 weeks.

    Nice work, Brian. That rivet tool is pretty cool. I've got the usual one that you squeeze with your hand over and over. But, as I'm getting older, that's getting to be a problem with my arthritis. That tool looks like a winner for me. Thanks!

      Agree. I injured my wrist several years ago and it took years to get better. The cordless rivet guns are over $200. I found this attachment for about $30 and it works great.

    Gasket for the old handle? 14:04

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah. That's some attention to detail there😄 The old gasket was already in the handle. It probably could use a new one though if I can find or make one.

    Another awesome repair! Love that rivet jig! I’m still trying to figure out a better repair for my driver side front box edge on my class C. Until I have a better plan, I’ve been layering on Flex tape… 🤦🏻‍♂️

    That's a nice job you did. Any way you can tell us how much the door cost and then the painting of it. I'm guessing $1200 for the door and $500 to paint it.

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're so close. The door was around $1200 with shipping. The paint job was about $900.

    So what did you do? Heat up the hinges and soak them in motor oil?

    How did you remove the trim piece above the door?

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each compartment hinge has a small screw on the back that goes into the trim. Remove them and you can pop the trim off.

    WHY did you use Fedex?

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not my choice. They only shipped commercial freight. So I had it sent directly to the bodyshop.

      @@RVwithTitoI kinda like FedEx for the big stuff. I have UPS daily for a lot of stuff but like you said, some places only use FedEx. I’ve learned they get discounted rates that get oases on to me.

    Those idiots @ Winnebago used plain steel hinges on my compartment doors.
    The hinge pin sits outside in the rain. After a few short years the hinge rusted
    and now looks like shet. I bought some SS piano hinges of the right size and
    when I went to install the first one W struck again. My compartment doors are
    fibreglass set in a metal frame. The rusted hinge is sandwiched betwix the
    fibreglass door panel & its frame. It appears it will be a major mother to
    disassemble, replace the hinge, reassemble & hang back on the coach. They
    couldnt have made it any more difficult if they had tried. Geeeez...
