What a beautiful shirt for your daughter and a lovely matching handbag. Any daughter would be thrilled with such a charming gift. This is not any advice because i also know that whatever you create, whether a shawl or poncho, it will be fabulously beautiful, a work of art no matter which ball of yarn you use.❤
I think either a poncho or shawl in purple with black trim would be lovely. Especially since you mentioned that she wears a lot of black I think the green might be too ‘bright’ for someone who doesn’t lean toward bright colours.
Lovely top for your daughter! It’s good you did not double up the yarn, that makes a wearable that’s too heavy and hot. Do single crochet all around the neck, with some decreases. And then finish everything with a row of single crochet, including the straps. I might shorten those too because they will stretch. As for the gift, in my experience, unless the recipient is involved, wearables are tricky to gift. The poncho safest vs a cardigan. For her I’d definitely go with the darker colors. Purple, black. It would also be just as nice to give her a hat and scarf set in the purple! Less worry about sizing, and whether she would wear the much bigger projects you were considering. You’re very nice to do that 😊
@@rikalife that will be such a gorgeous gift! Very usable in the coming seasons, especially if it’s a lacier version, lovely yarn, and a color you know she likes. Can’t go wrong there-Perfect!
Turquoise poncho
@jayneholcomb4076 thanks for your vote!
I would suggest doing a few rounds of single crochet along the neckline & doing a few decreases along the way to tighten up the drooping.
@@EllensCrochet thank you! I will try that
Poncho in purple color n trim in black
@@nikkispencer9827 that actually sounds so nice
