Awesome review! Very detailed and informative! One question - how good is the ANC on these open ear? Is it good enough to suppress / cancel out engine sound during flights?
I own two Samsung phones, the S23 and S24 Ultra. I need earbuds that will stay in my ears. I sweat a lot from work and from the onset of early menopause. I’m trying to decide if I should invest in these or not! I currently have the galaxy buds fe
How does this compare to the buds 2 pros? I like the sound the quality of the buds 2 pros but dont really like the eartips going in my ear. Does this sound similar to the buds live?

Theese are not the AirPods killer, for the same reason as the AirPods themselves. They work well with a Samsung Device only. The lack of aptX and Ldac Bluetooth Codecs, will make these earphones play either with AAC codec (on an iPhone) or AAC and SBC on an Android. The "scalable codec" known as SSC is available on a Galaxy Device only. So in other words : if you have for example a Xiaomi Tablet or Phone (that can run Ldac), and you want to buy the Buds 3, they will sound as any 50-100€ wireless buds. It would be an AirPods killer if Samsung gave the compatibility with other major codecs such as those mentioned above (LDAC from Sony, aptX from Qualcom and L2HC from Huawei). In that case anyone that does not own a samsung device gen enjoy a quality sound. Otherwise you're stuck in their ecosystem in the same way as other people are stuck with the Apple Ecosistem. The reason is that Samsung forces you (in a way) to buy only their products.
The bluetooth codec thing nearly made me reconsider, but then i remembered my sony linkbuds only went up to AAC and not full LDAC like other headphones. I already own a pair of over ear Sony XM4 headphones anyway so I'm not too worried about not getting the best bitrate with those samsung buds. And from what I've heard, the noise cancelling isn't that good compared to the pro version, so why bother having better quality sound when you have other background noise leaking in?
The microphone test looks bit noisier. It was not cancelling the wind sound and in the noisiest place microphone is picking up the noise. I am facing issue in my buds2 pro when taking the calls. I thought of upgrading to buds 3 pro in the hope of microphone issue being addressed. But it looks like issue is still persistent in buds 3 pro also!!!!!
Can you do buds connectivity test with the galaxy watch 7 while running. I would get intermittent disconnects with my watch 4 and original galaxy buds.
