Wow im not the only one, im not an anime fan but a friend convinced me to watch the movie, then i started thinking "this reminds me a lot to little nightmares" then i deduced it worked like a part for their inspiration
Imagine Six being stuck in one of the rooms she has to go through to finish the game. Think about her living there the rest of her life. Every room the Maw looks so depressing, but in an interesting way.
The maw's surface looks like a head and the entrance where the guests go looks like its mouth. I personally think that the maw is like a 'BODY' because some of the parts that were drawn on the concept arts looks like guts and other human body systems. idk
Wait... What if, since one of the main recurrences seems to be hunger and eating, The Maw is just one big stomach? Some of the concept art had me thinking of guts or some type of organ. So I was thinking maybe it could reference a stomach since the Lady eats the souls of fat people and maybe children, who eat huge amounts of food. And maybe that's why no one has ever come back. It's one big stomach for food, or in this case, people.

Because in the game you see new passengers boarding, but none leaving, which made me suspect the whole thing was a trick by the Lady to fatten other monsters up so she could eat their life force or whatever to get more powerful. You do see the legs of that guy that seemingly hanged himself, so maybe he found out the truth and that was why he did it? Too bad Six wouldn't read his letter.
You have a good point. Maybe in the DLC or the comic we can get some backstory on what the letter actually said and what Six's real purpose in the story is. Though I do have some thoughts on the letter. Maybe it was just a normal suicide letter hinting to the Lady's true intentions or maybe it was a full on "here's what's going on please someone fix it." Maybe Six already read the letter before, and that's why she was desperate to get out or stop the Lady all together.
i kind of think the developers had no real intention for their to be a fully fleshed out lore or choesive storyline, however considering their turning this into a movie like coraline the company now has to create a coherent story that fleshes out the lore and tale and not leave it to speculation.
The kitchen photo would have been so cool, imagine 3 chefs, a heckin scary fish that is like gonna eat you, and blood besides a chef. That sounds really cool
