The mission to rescue civilians is WAY easier if you stay low between/below the buildings while flying them back to the station. The game gives you several hints about this, to its credit. The mission with the fires is definitely one of the most challenging in the game, but if you prioritize fires on the ship and don't try to chuck extinguishers/tanks from a long way off (where it's very likely they'll either miss the fire or fly toward an enemy), it's not terrible. Once I figured out this approach on my first playthrough I was able to beat the mission in just one or two tries.
I LOVE the bit where Kat goes after the downed pilot. It's an objectively terrible decision from a logical/tactical standpoint; the Jellyfish are totally correct in prioritizing civilians and focusing on the bigger picture in this situation rather than fixating on a single MIA. On the other hand, it's COMPLETELY in-line with Kat's character to dash off and spend a lot of time & energy on one person in immediate danger while not considering the consequences of abandoning the central mission. She's simply not the type who would be willing to sacrifice a teammate to advance a larger-scale goal - no matter how good or important that goal is. Really great writing in this DLC from a character perspective, as it reinforces Kat's character and justifies her decision to not join the Jellyfish, while at the same time not painting them as "bad guys". Everyone involved here are good people trying to protect the city, they just have different moral codes and different approaches to the problem.

The escort part is really easy actually, you can just take all of them in a single stasis field and carry them at the same time. Saves alot of time. (Yes I know I am 7 years late, but, whatever..)
It’s been 3 years since you played this game and this tip is useless at this point, but you didn’t have to throw the tanks. You can just walk into the fire and you extinguish it that way, instead of hoping you hit the spot

I'm trying to find and get this game and play it 1st almost 100% blind before I watch your gravity rush videos and binge like the hell out of them bundles of awesomesauce till then I'm going to be away from the Dusk Brigade for a bit. The whole reason Kat left for a year was to get that letter and the lady doesn't even want it... She is the true evil in this game.
