He's basically saying it isn't honorable that he has to sneak his opponent off guard to win, that he deserves that 1v1 like a true warrior but he acknowledged that there was too much to risk, his family primarily because he would rather die himself but he was thinking of others; vegeta a man of true pride
No it's not because there's too much risk and Cell knows it. Vegeta even says a true warrior would rather die than forsake his honor. The only way Vegeta can rationalize this move is that he gave Cell his perfect form thus he can take it away.
You're both wrong. The reason Vegeta can rationalize this move is not only because Cell just killed his son but killed him in a sleezy way by attacking him while his guard was down. At this point Cell is willing to win at all cost even if it means defeating Gohan with 1 arm. All bets are off after Cell kills his son with pride and honor going right out the window. Not to mention that the reason Gohan can fight with only 1 arm is because Gohan went to save Vegeta's a$$ after Vegeta went berserk from Cell killing Trunks. Vegeta owes Gohan help more than any of the Z fighters.

The whole point of the last battle is that everyone had reached their breaking point as the situation had become too critical for the characters to still be holding onto their basic principles. Everything about Vegeta after Cell kills his son is out of character which is why he is cheering Piccolo on to help Gohan and why he apologizes to Gohan after interfering in his match against Cell
@bless8861 Trunks just met his father! He doesn't know him well. When Yamcha told him Vegeta defended him after Cell took him out Trunks was completely surprised. Yeah Vegeta is a man of pride but again principle flies out the window when one is pushed to the edge and that's exactly what happened with Vegeta.This isn't the first time Vegeta has forgone his personal beliefs just to win. He's forsaken his principles in every saga of Z when he becomes desperate to win.

That "NOWS YOUR CHANCE.." Along with Vegeta's theme gives me chills every time dude...
I'm not letting nostalgia blind me when I say the english dub takes the cake where all others don't. This scene in particular, rather. Vegeta's theme/the general music fits the scene perfectly. The anger/anxiety/fearful passionate screams. Everything is what makes this anime good. In any version really. 1:50 was my favorite.

Man Vegeta brings tears to my eyes, one of the best characters in anime let alone Dragonball. The older you get the more you understand him, especially me being a father I understand how his character is written. Masterpiece.

I think that Vegita and Frieza have the exact same personality.
I don't feel satified watching them until I see them cry and trash talk about themselves and bow to others.
Their super weakness that their brain is made of muscle only. Cell and Babudi used Vegita to become perfect and create Buu, because however strong Vegita is, he is still super weak from inside, and anybody can control his spirit like controlling a stubborn kid. That's what the narrator focused on showing it.
If Vegita at the end of the Sayajin saga got some energy from Goku as the end of Frieza saga, Vegita will do that fool ending as Frieza, too.

But when everybody was attacking at once he was unsure if it was all hopeless or maybe they could actually still win so if he went and lost his pride would be torn and he would be ashamed and in the end he sorta said Fuck it.
I think it was the fact that if he helped them then he would be officially a Z fighter which he wasn't at that point.
So in other words, if it weren't for Vegeta, everyone would die.

When it shoots up to vegetas depleted face after the blast I almost tear up. Vegetas character and journey is so relateable, at least to me anyway. I think many people can identify with vegeta. Great video!

I feel like Vegeta was the MVP of the Androids/Cell Saga. He wasn’t the strongest at the end but I feel like he contributed the most over the whole arc.
Well it was his frequent failures that showed everybody else what they needed in order to succeed.

this arc had the most fuck ups. vegeta let cell go perfect, goku healed him, gohan let his dad die, vegeta caused gohan to lose his arm. but I understand its in the blood of sayians

I only know 3 things
I would say about equal. Goku lets Buu live (when he goes SS3) and gives Cell a bean. Vegeta lets Cell become perfect and wakes Buu up. Gohan plays with them both. Piccolo has PTSD by the end after hanging around the Saiyans and watching them toy with the fate of the universe.

What alot of ppl dont realize, this was Vegetas first real Atonement. He knew that if he hadnt helped the rest of the Dragon Squad, that his pride would be completely diminished. He knew that his sons death would be in complete vain. And from the first fight, thru the fights in Namek, and even up to this point, he saw Gohan as nothing more than a true sayian warrior (even if gohan never saw it himself). He knew it was his duty, bc the rest had fallen, to give the distraction need for Gohan to finish the fight. What bothers me most, is his words after. That he himself was no warrior and tat he would never fight again. If he took Gohan under his wing in those 7 years leading up to the Majin Buu arc, they both would have unlocked not only a fully mastered Super Sayian 2, but also realized Super Sayian 3s potential and risks. He always had a certain respect for Gohan and thats why he was so pissed when Gohan fought Dabura. He knew the kid had more potential than any Sayian in history, even if he were a half blood. This is why I will always respect Vegeta.

Man when Vegeta this far back was giving you any kind of real praise he respects something about you a lot.
Heck he respects piccolo so much that he is the only fighter on earth that hes never fought especially given their history how he allowed napa to massacre all the z warriors killing most including piccolo, it is wild fate has never even led them to a spar even. That's still crazy being like 8 or 9 when I saw the 1st aired dbz episode on old-school toon-ami and was hooked on dragon ball (except the original dragon ball) even though to this day in my 30s no regrets.

Android saga started on Cartoon Network in September, 2001. Right around the time back to school started. I was entering into the 9th grade. The memories. The feeling of “newness”, and the unexpected. And we were at the beginning of the new century. Who knew that the world would be changing two weeks into September? Nothing quite explains the feeling, but the Cartoon Network logo brought it back.

I noticed how Vegeta respects someone by referring to them by their real name. Like when he referred to piccolo in his head
he literally refers to tien and yamcha as human or earthling, losers or weaklings, Bulma as "woman" Trunks as "boy" and krillin as "baldy" or "loser" and actually before this fight he calls Gohan boy or kakarots son it wasn't until Gohan started fighting cell and Vegeta saw how strong he is he started using his name 🤣🤣🤣
Vegeta could have been a better partner in the series with his power, but because of his saiyan pride , he was too ego to be a team player . xD However, vegeta will always save the day XD

Just realized that at 1:45 Goku was sensing Vegeta's rising energy. He was genuinely surprised Vegeta put his pride aside to help Gohan save the world
