Those colours, jeez they are beautiful 😍
Aye it was amazing!
Fantastic images - beautiful video John.Great stuff...
Thanks! :)
Great stuff John, loved the video. Gorgeous colours and light.
Thanks! It was a great day for a walk
I was wondering when we might see something from your recent trip. It was worth the wait. Although I’ve never been to Japan, I’ve always felt a kind of kinship with the Japanese aesthetic. Thank you for reconnecting me with that feeling. What a great trip! I hope there will be more coming. Peace!
Thanks James. It was a great trip. Hopefully I'll have at least videos to share. Watch this space!
Very picturesque setting John , the variety of colours in the trees are just stunning. Just a pity so busy !!
Thanks! Yeh the crowds proved to be a bit of a problem at every location I visited
Beautiful colours, John, looks like you had a brilliant time, Its amazing how laid back and well behaved the Japanese are, I bet you wanted to jump down for the the foreground rocks
at the waterfall.
Thanks Douglas. The colours were incredible! haha - I was tempted to get into the water at one point!
A bit of a change from Coatbridge. This park looks like such a peaceful place to spend an afternoon. Seems you’ve had an amazing time John, can’t wait to see more videos from Japan 👍
Thanks. Aye slightly different vibe than a wander around Summerlee on a rainy Sunday!
Another great video John. For me, there's way too much man-made stuff there, from the fencing and concrete walks, to the seemingly endless shops. I love how you magaed to capture some images without them! It must have been difficult getting the right viewpoints.
Thanks! Aye its a real challenge. Didnt help that Japan is having a bit of a tourism boost at the moment so everywhere i went was rammed full of people!
Absolutely stunning the colours are great. Just catching up on the Japan o es now. Been on my bucket list for a while but this just makes me want to get there even more.
Its amazing!
Hope you're enjoying the colours, John. I went to Minoh, in summer '99 when I'd only been in the country a few days. Haven't been back since. Looks great! If you get over to Kamakura, for the autumn colours, Mount Genjiyama, Kaizo-ji and Myohon-ji temple (a hidden gem, in a secluded valley near the station) are all stunning, and quite late, due to the warm Pacific air. All the best from Yokohama.
Thank you! It was a great trip. Back in Scotland now, but, I'll make a point of visiting those locations next time I'm in the country in Autumn! Thanks!
wonderful work my friend,congratulations
Thank you! :)
That's some vacation

Thank you for this beautiful video and fantastic images. 😮 Autumn at its best. ❤ May I ask when you went there? Thank you, cheers😊
Thank you! I was there from 21st November until December 6th.
Great shot, great place , way too many bodies for me , I will stick with Rannoch Moor on a cold, wet and blustery winters day 😂
This was it quiet! Some of the other locations I visited I had to just give up and leave!

Yeah, okay its bonny. Beautiful colours. Its inspired me to walk the full length of the Kelvin walkway though. I must have done 50% on and off but I need to do it in a oneer.
You're not missing much here, its dreich. Northern lights, nope. Geminid meteor shower, nope. Moon, nope. Stars, nope ...
Do the Japanese have a winter festival or do they just bask in the glow of the acers ?
Back now. Managed to catch a cold within 2 days of getting back to Glasgow, so good to be home!
They do celebrate Christmas, but, it's more of a KFC celebration thanks to some smart marketing back in the 70s and 80s.
Well I suppose KFC is the same colour as the Coca Cola truck.
I buggered my back and legs overdoing an Urban Safari in the bitter cold and rain around Govan on Monday. The park in Japan looked a lot more welcoming 🤨 @@JohnMcKennaPhotography
Hi, may I know which day did you visit the park? Thanks!
hi. I was there on November 23rd 2023
