I managed to get your original cap when black botted out. When I saw we were in a 1v1 I tried to target you. Then when black came back for that 1 turn he ruined my snowball out of Africa pocket. Making it much more costly when I took africa. Meanwhile purple kept stacking in Russia. I ran desperately searched lower right for the final black troops after I took his cap. In my last attempt to come back I knew I had to grab the black kill. I had no idea what the mid board looked like and was totally blind. That's why you're the man! Good win!
I think the biggest takeaway is that you should always keep trying. Most people in this game get hit once, and instantly quit, even when they could easily win. Pete almost never gives up, which allows for these crazy comeback games.
Be nice to know when white took the cap in France; early, I'd guess, maybe even turn one? If he'd focused his troops there to contest you... well, we'll never know. I'd really like to be able to see a open view 'no fog' of that recorded, but we don't get those options. Watching you play, Pete, every game is a lesson. stay alive; gather info; sequence kills. black capped north africa/greece with the plan to take west africa first. He added all his first turn gen on a 1 then like pete does sometimes said "oh someone capped in there? that's not very good. " Most likely Orange/red added all and rolled black's cap turn 1 and lost which is why they quit
Just now I had a similar game where I lost my cap first turn, remained only with three territories by turn 3 (no trade btw) but somehow I managed to win
17:10 I've had two fantastic games going with a homie (random person not teaming) and I bot out which will most definitely sabotage the homie instead of anyone else as our bonuses were NEXT to each other and I was biggest in the game so it upset me deeply not only for my rank but my homie D:
Probably not sniping given that he wasn’t streaming. Maybe black and red were collabing but that’s unlikely since both red and black quit soon after (although black came back, red didn’t). It also could’ve just been that black wanted to clean out the pocket Africa and saw Pete’s cap and then hoped to get a good manual to then take it. Just opportunistic. Black had the pocket guarded with his cap so he would’ve wanted to clean it out asap.
just blind luck. Blacks cap was a hold on africa so he wanted to work on the pocket and went for the place that gave the most vision and wowee theres a cap there lets roll it. Its honestly not even a necessarily bad play by black, and makes much more sense than Pete made it sound like.

@ I don’t think he made a beeline. He just attacked off his own territory in africa to the large territory which gives him vision of the entire pocket. It’s not like he ran off his cap thru multiple territories to hit the cap. When you play the game every day you’re bound to encounter some random luck.
