I absolutely love seeing riders first impressions of riding a modern 2 stroke. The Beta series of bikes are truly special in how easy they allow the rider to access their performance. My current bike is a 300rr but i have spent some time on the Xtrainer as a riding buddy has one and it is absolutely phenomenal in hard technical terrain. Look forward to your videos! Enjoy the bike
Super surprised by the x trainers ride-ability! Things super wicked! Some absolute banger videos coming up! You’ll definitely enjoy them!!! Thanks for watching!
I keep seeing comments you are gonna foul a plug!! Not true!! 65 hrs on mine and all lug ride every were in 3 and 4 gear! These bikes are ment to be lug !! What there made for ! I’m on original plug!! I ride hard enduro and race and not one problem!! Still on oil injection too! Congratulations on the bike!! Stock front end settings are 12 out on rebound and spring preload is fully open!! The forks will soften after about 4 to 6 hrs so I wouldn’t make no adjustments till then but there is no compression adjustment on this stock!! I went with the k tech orvs kit on the front end and it help but not drastically! It adds compression!! The front end is still sketchy at high speeds in chop and will pack up at times! This bike is ment for slow tech riding! Great hard enduro machine!! Wish they made this bike with a 48 mm fork and it would be the perfect gem in my opinion! What I may end up doin! Also if your gonna do suspension do front and rear as you will see after you do the front you will realize how bad the back is !! You seem like a light rider so you may be ok stock ! I’m 210 so had to get it re sprung and revalve!! It’s still no fix though just makes it a bit better!! Anyways enjoy the bike and looking forward to videos ! Welcome to the beta club! Maybe one day we can network and do some vids together or a live steam on the bikes🤙🏻
12 hours on it now, still running completely stock, definitely gonna be testing out some clicker settings! Would be fun to meet up n ride 👌🏼 where abouts you from
I went from always riding 4 strokes to my first 2 stroke this year. best decision ever. it was like relearning to ride but now that I have the feel for it, I love it. Anyone starting 2 stroke, ride in 2nd until you get the hang. that helped me out so much because for me on a (KTM 250xc) its so powerful that it was dangerous until I learned the power band.
Just got a 2020 xtrainer first bike in 20 years an i love it. It can do anything i throw at it. I jist need to improve my own skills but that will come with seat time.
I learned to ride on a yamaha tw 200.. looking to get my first 2 stroke this spring and really want a beta xtrainer... this video has solidified my decision. Great video, thank you!
You gotta 2023 with a busted speedo as well? I've had my dealer look at mine and they even replaced the cable from the magnetic pickup but no dice. I think it's the connection under the triple clamp. I met a beta dealer owner on the trail one day and he told me you can bypass the connector under the triple clamp and it will fix it. He stated the cord was long enough and the connectors would plug in but I haven't tried it yet.
@@AaronsEnduro Really, the new display took care of it. That's cool. I have to get mine sorted. My dealer is really far though. I bought a gas gas ES 700 at the same time and am waiting to get enough miles for the first service to bring them both in.
I just got my very first dirt bike! 2024 Beta Xtrainer! Can you please do a video on changing the oil? Maintenance tips etc? The two videos that I've seen don't talk about overflow/overfill.
Your manual shows you exactly what to do! 850ml is the capacity for the trans fluid. Basic maintenance include checking chain tension, greased bearings, putting the battery on a battery tender when not riding. Not using ethanol based fuels thatll clog your fuel system.
congrats on the Beta XT. On my 2nd 300RR. I run 13 - 50 gearing, the bike will pull so well down low. What you were riding on the single track I could easily be in 3rd gear without issue. Over 150 hours on my first Beta, plug never fowled, piston and rings in perfect shape when I did the top end. On my 2nd Beta 300rr currently and no fowled plugs. The beauty about lugging the bikes it that is it easier on the engine rather than constantly ringing them out. Likely already figured out more rear brake is needed as comparted to your 4t. A bigger brake pedal is a good update from the stock Beta ones. Nice and easy to find when you need it. Have fun learning the new ride.
Thanks! For the majority of this first time riding was 1st gear in the single track, with a sprinkle of 2nd gear. Now that in used to the power and gearing and mobility of a 2 stroke ive been using the higher gears in the single track and it helped a ton
I grew up in an era when 2-strokes was king and 4-strokes were “trail bikes”. I’d have the same trouble adjusting to modern 4-stokes. Great looking bike and hopefully it’s turning you into a 2-stroker

Bought it last spring for a Moab trip and loved it there too. The bike gives you a ton of technical confidence. I don't like her at too much speed either. I like her in the crawl and climb. Great clutch, great brakes, great balance, great traction. I like her ability to soak up big rocks and lips. I like a soft ride in the chunk! I am very surprised when she just chugs up and does not stall, saviing my butt. Just don't let her sit with regular gas, she will gunk up, use rec gas if you can and or keep her running. I had to clean out the jets to get her to smooth back out after sitting too long. Power is pleanty for me and most I imagine especially if you like tough single track, I rarely go above 10mph. Have fun!

I don’t know how the suspension works for those forks but there is usually screws on the top and bottom of the forks, get a flathead and turn it to the left one or two clicks, and try it, still too stiff? Try another click or two. That skid plate looks pretty slick though
I got a new XT too. And I know exactly what you mean. When I first got on the bike it felt really twitchy and nervous. I pulled the bars down towards me and that help. I also felt the suspension was harsh but soft at the same time depending on what terrain I was riding. Small rocks on the trail were very harsh but woops felt like the front was way to soft. I do really like the bike and last run out I was doing high speed dirt road running (fire roads) and the front was hitting bumps really hard. But small jumps would bottom hard.
@@AaronsEnduro If a bike has a rigid frame (like beta's do) then it doesnt matter how soft the suspension is because the bike isn't flexing longitudinally. Try putting on a 90/100 front like a starcross 5 (not 6) 90/100 or GT216 Fatty 90/100. It'll feel like riding on cushions and the slower steering front tyres wont affect an xtrainer too negatively cause of the steep steering angle.
always takes me a bit to go from 4t to 2t and vice versa. My 4t took way more suspension setup to get right even after sag/etc. My 2t is less sensitive to valving or I'm just closer and it rips. Engine braking just makes you have to change your whole riding style. They're both fun 4t is a beta 390 that I mainly dualsport but also dirt bike, 2t is a 125xc that I rip the fuck out of. Both bikes have mousses if you're not happy with the suspension as I was in your beta, look at the lucky cartridges and a lanier valve for the rear shock.
I love the radiator fins that help with more air flow . Does it have a thermostat or oil temp inlet , so you could tell the engine or coolant temp ? I would also go with a oil temp dipstick , those are cheap but effective . I simply must know my parameters , oil , coolant , battery ......
turns out it was due to the tire pressure being at factory pressure (30) and making the ride super stiff. since lowering tire pressures significantly its become much softer of a ride (around 8 psi each)
Beta has been great with having replacements on hand and the warranty has been unreal. They replaced my display, speedo cable, and a shifter seal, no questions asked, 100% free of charge even having them shipped to my house
Yo bro I have a Apollo 125cc and one day when I was riding it would not turn back on I changed the spark cleaned the carb then it started for a minute then shut back when I revved it do you think it’s my stator
Out of every bike i have ridden and thats every brand including the KLX, I honeslty cant think of any bike that has softer suspension than the XT Im not saying you're wrong but could it be you have always had suspension based on your light weight
Why would anyone buy this? It doesn’t come with A kit kyb or a factory race motor hahaha. But in all seriousness definitely not going to sleep on one of these
The people that buy these aren’t racing these bikes. This bike is BETA’s best seller. Its a best seller for a reason, there’s no other bike in this class. It has a 15% smaller frame, shorter base, lower and further back pegs, is a trials enduro hybrid, is 2000$ cheaper than an RR. This is the only bike that is like this
@@AaronsEnduro yeah man! I was only joking with my comment. They are an amazing enduro weapon. 90% of people couldn’t even make this bike sweat let alone a 300rr racing model. It will definitely be my next 2 stroke! I use my 300 gasgas as a desert racing bike and it can be a handful at times in hard enduro conditions. Amazing for desert racing though.
Absolutely. The x trainer shines in the hardest of terrain. The easier the trails, the worst the bike is. Keep your gas gas for blasting the whoops in the desert and x trainer for the techy days where you dont plan on leaving 1/2nd gear
Better carry a lot of spark plugs unless you learn how to ride a 2 stroke quick. You can’t be lugging them around like that, you need to keep the rpm’s up. I also wouldn’t touch the suspension until you ride it hard a few times, that stuff needs to break in.
The new TPS 2 strokes are pretty good for not fouling plugs. My buddy has 100 hours with the oem stock plug riding like we do. I do carry a spark plug just incase. Keep in mind this was my first time actually riding my bike and a 2 stroke
@@AaronsEnduro That doesn't make it right. 2 strokes are not designed to lug around if you wanted to do that you should have bought a 4 stroke. It's your bike ride it how you want but the bike is running like total trash that way, open it up and keep it on the power band and you'll really enjoy much more.
@@joedirt38 You're full of crap, upload a video and prove it, I'm sure you can't though since Fantasy Land bikes don't exist. No 2 stroke can be lugged that long. You punks think you're talking to newbies on here.
@badz2211 your facts are outdated my friend. Enduro bikes are built to lug. Ditto with trials bikes. I've got hundreds of hours of lugging in tight trails on my EC200 and once in its life it's needed the power valve cleaned. It's never fouled a plug.
Beta has unmatched warranty. They’re the only company that truly stands behind their product. Ktm /husky/gasgas says your on your own once the bikes leave the dealer. I’ve seen beta warranty their engine three years later due to main bearing failure on their older models. They also replaced my speedo cable, and front sprocket seal all for free
I was being easy on the bike and gas. I also didn’t notice i was in “low power” mode, you’ll see in the next riding videos coming up of the bike screaming on the pipe!

Is your Killswitch on, is your motor blown no compression, does it have fresh gas in it.
Congrats Aaron ! Awesome machine , indeed.
Thanks Andrian!!! Its a wicked machine, and were gonna be putting it to the test!!
Great bike and choice you can always get the pipe upgrade 😮😊
Lots of upgrade options for the bike!
When you yell out 'I love this bike ' and laugh non stop yep you no you found your bike
Agreed 😂
If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you / what's your inseam length?
Im 6’1, im not sure about inseam. But i bought this bike because i like being able to touch the ground haha
what model klx did you have before switching to the x trainer
RF/G!
The largest wheelset model with a 21” front wheel and 18” rear!
Out of every bike i have ridden and thats every brand including the KLX, I honeslty cant think of any bike that has softer suspension than the XT
Im not saying you're wrong but could it be you have always had suspension based on your light weight
Very much so possible!
What jetting are you running. Main and pilot?
155 main
35 pilot
Thanks. I am at 3000 ft elevation. And my 23 seems rich on a 145 main an 35 pilot. I did switch to rr air filter cage
Im 100% stock at 0-1000ft elevation
I bet it is ! I was born in Poland , I live in the US since 93 , where are you ?
Canada!
What jetting did you run on your 170 with the d3 pipe and the bigger carb?
190 main and a 25 pilot!
Dude you are a life safer I had no clue. Thank you so much man. Huge fan
Most people seem to run the 185 main with the 22.5 pilot. Depends on your elevation too right
I am pretty low elevation you think the 185 22.5 would be better? I’m at 308 ft
Ill say your gonna have to try both to see which works better for you in particular
License Tip…. Worry about it later one..😂😂
😂😂 if i loose my license i loose my job so this youtube thing better work out 😂
I like the bike bro it’s nice !!
Thanks Joey!!
Exelent 🎉
Ah man ............ I'm tapping out. It was cool seeing you spank riders on bigger bikes with the Mighty KLX 140. The Beta Xtrainer. Not so much.
Thanks for coming along for the journey either way! Appreciate it and happy braaping!
Dr Gus Greenfield approved!
Thanks Dr!
Where is this riding area ?
South VI
I can lug my sherco 300 2 stroke all day long. 100+ hours on it. Never fouled a plug.
“Really weird” doesn’t help me to understand whether I want the Xtrainer.
Watch the other 10 videos i have on my xtrainer
In typical beta fashion your speedometer doesn’t seem to work correctly.
And in typical beta fashion they replaced it no questions asked. Has worked flawlessly for 90 hours no
@@AaronsEnduro thats good! I always wondered because every single video I’ve watched of the betas the speedo never works
Need to be in a lower gear or you will foul plugs
I was being easy on the bike and gas. I also didn’t notice i was in “low power” mode, you’ll see in the next riding videos coming up of the bike screaming on the pipe!
Not true.
@DSwann. Not true.
i loved the video it ws so cool keep up the good work and i hope you hit 20k soon bud
Im glad you enjoyed it! Aint no stopping me now!!! I hope i hit 20k soon too! See where the rest of the year takes me!
Good choice bud, I love my 22 xtrainer
Such great bikes!!
