Thank you so much for the knowledge of the condition. My brother has diabetes and they want to amputate his leg. They have not tried any of the remedies that you've shared. I am forwarding this to him now. They say he has 6 months to live if he doesn't have his leg amputated. We're praying 🙏🏾.
Very educational. In July of '21 i fell and injured my foot and it is currently November of '23 and i am about to have reconstruction surgery soon due to charcot. I have had an ulcer on my foot since January and it is just about closed. I am in a LOT of pain every step.
Very informative. What u described was my case. ER visits, thaught was infection. Alcoholic n diabetic. Charcot foot. Special shoes. Non surgical treatment yet. Always new gad diabetes, never took meds or diet. Took 14-16 months to get off scooter n boot.
My 77-year-old husband has CMT. But he was not diabetic either and he has NEVER drunk.Alcohol This is an inherited disease for him. The 17th chromosome of the DNA. He does have neuropathy in his feet and legs. His father has this issue as does his cousin - all males. He has VERY high arches, hammertoes in both feet, an odd gate and neuropathy,
I’m so sorry for your husband. CMT is a challenging disease as well, but it is not the same as Charcot Foot Disease that this dr is discussing. You are 💯 correct that Charcot Marie Tooth disease is a chromosomal disease. The two are often confused because they are both named for the same doctor, Dr Charcot. I think he actually was one of the first people to identify both diseases. I found all this out when I was diagnosed with Charcot Foot Disease and kept getting results on Google for CMT. I hope your husband’s case is mild.
I was just diagnosed but I had no redness or heat. There is swelling and the rocker bottom feeling.I have neurophathy. When you say it takes a long time to get better how is that? If the bones are broken they cannot heal to my knowledge.
I am in india. My wife has Charcot Foot. Age 59 .No sugar,No BP no other diease. We consulted a Foot & Ankle specialist surgeon and he says it can b3 ooerated ans set right. Kindly let us know whether qw can go foe surgery? Any post operative problem may occur and whwther she can walk properly after 6 months
No no no no! Not everyone who develops this is a diabetic or an alcoholic! There is such a thing as neuropathy not caused by these things! Sometimes the nerves just get messed up for no reason. My dad developed Charcot foot and had pretty bad neuropathy and nerve function.

Do you know if he had CMT?
My husband has worn a boot for two years. Now he’s getting amputation 😢
God bless
This is so far from truth, after three hours of research, I know more than this person, tons more!
Why? Because you're denouncing his advice, share your research sources
😂 now research the Dunning-Kruger effect
I don’t agree with this 100%.
