These guys truly have the hearts of shepherds, it is so obvious in how they speak about the meeting that they had. It makes me sad for the ministry in the 2x2's because I never felt that there was anyone (except possibly one worker) in the ministry that truly had the heart of a shepherd towards myself or the friends. What a gift to have that spirit and I hope they keep it!

This is my favorite video yet! We aren't far from Spokane, we'll have to find a time to get to Spokane. Our stories are very similar, and it would be wonderful to meet up!
I felt like I could really relate to Doyle and Carri's story. As for the workers not showing care I wonder if some of that lack comes from the fact that in the system all of us were taught to deny so much of our feelings. This would be especially true of the workers. When you're not allowed to feel your own hurt it's hard to empathize with others. There's really no healthy way for them to deal with the complicated and messy things that happen to the people they are supposed to be ministering to. Talking about real things in your life with the workers isn't always easy or even possible. There's a real disconnect.
Absolutely! The hardest part is having family deeply absorbed into the culture and worshipping workers and can not see Gods Truth!! Timing is everything. God never makes mistakes.
Because of what Christ has done for me, I can live out of His grace and mercy to others. It's a process, one that a believer will live out the rest of their life. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. As for meeting the first day of the week, yes. The new testament church did, so do we. Believers are to encourage one another and worshipping together is one way to do that.
Agreed! Worship is the key. But worshipping God and Jesus only. The problem is in meetings, the format and order was worshipped. That’s the problem…meeting is not scriptural. Just like the worker church ministry is not scriptural.
Thanks David, Doyle and Carri! It is awesome to hear how God brings people out of false religion unto Himself! The workers preach a different gospel since they add human doctrine to God's Salvation, what audacity! I don't judge anyone in the meetings regarding their personal relationship with God, I can't, that is God's prerogative, but we can judge the fruit of the Spirit and religious groups doctrine. Absolutely Carri! , we have been in several states in the U.S, going through very hard times, and have experienced the lack of love in general, there was a few that stood out but they were the exceptions to the rule.I spoke to the elder and his wife in Yakima WA regarding this when we were there as well as the elder's wife in Eagle Idaho , when we lived there, neither could understand that I felt there is a lack of love.To them love meant thinking of you or inviting you over for potluck etc. Even though the culture does have an influence on friends and workers, Christians and non Christians are born with God's laws in our hearts, we do actually know when we aren't behaving lovingly towards others, but as Christians we have the Power of God that helps us in this regard. I am so sorry that you went through abuse as a child Carri, but you are an encouragement to me to keep on trusting God even through tears and not understanding things. Agapè Louise.
