How has the double-sided tape held up? I'm finishing a basement room and looking to install LVP as it will be multi-purpose. Considering installing the same rolls over top in a section with workout equipment. Any thoughts here? Any concerns that the rubber may stain or damage the under-floor over time?
You can get stall mats in various thicknesses like 1/2 in or 3/4. Button bottom, textured top, vulcanized or not etc. I like the Red Barn classic ones that are smooth on both sides. A lengthy off gassing in required. I rolled mine up and stood it on end so the most area would be exposed. They make 3'x4' x .75" too.
The cheapest/best flooring I found for gyms is horse stall mats. I got them at tractor supply - they’re $54.99 for a 6x4 piece. Obviously they’re extremely durable and they’re made in Canada which is a plus. Relatively cheap compared to actual “gym flooring”.
Everyone and their mom on TH-cam went down to their Tractor Supply and got the horse stall mats and then gorilla taped them together and act as if they were the first ones to think of that.
@@cobracommander9138 I never said I was the first. Just said that’s what I did and they were better and cheaper than actual gym flooring. Also, what’s the point of writing something if all you’re going to write is something stupid? Makes no sense. Just makes you look like a loser.
The gym I go to has 3/4 inch flooring, don't know what brand they are but they are amazing. To such extent I wouldn't mind my whole house floored like that. :)
Thanks for the different types of floor tile options, but man your pricing seems way more expensive than what I've seen on Amazon & other places. I see 48in x 48in 12 pieces for $189 on Amazon so that $1,200 plus pricing is a mystery to me unless I'm looking at the wrong stuff?
Great reviews! I have my barn set up as a workout space. I currently have and like the XSPEC for lifting and calisthenics, but I also have a basketball hoop set up and it seems a bit dead for bouncing a ball on. Any suggestions on what might be a good option for both uses?
hello coach Matt, should I keep my body/core TIGHT while doing plyometrics OR should I do them in a flow like state? like doing the jumps as if they're walking for me therefore training my body to be athletic - is that valid?
Hey good video! I was wondering if you can do a Volleyball strength and conditioning program? I saw how you did the basketball s&c program so I wanted to see your take on it.
Iggy was good that you mentioned all those options but after telling about the house stall mats you didn't say if the more expensive have an odor... Important to simmer
@@TheMovementSystemI’ve been a sound guy on film n TV for years. Get a lavalier and you’ll never have to worry again. Sounds like this was from a condenser mic placed far away from you and not aiming right. Reach out if you have any questions. Sound is 50% of video media but never gets the credit.
Thanks for the info. I only have space for my bench and dumbbells on my lanai. Debating on doing a portion, approx 1/3 of of my 8x14 space in this flooring or just grabbing a few tiles that I can use to exclusively drop my dumbbells on. Would be easier and allow me to take them into my living room. Sometimes I might move my bench inside the house so that’s something to consider.
Save yourself a bunch of time and money. Go to horse and feed store. Get the horse stall rubber mats. They are amazing and bullet proof and look perfect. The rest is marketing and nonsense. Literally built for horses.

@@Burley117 Solid so far. Hasn't come up other than one small corner where I had to fit a small piece around the window.

Excellent video. Question, does the Rogue flooring have a rubber smell like horse stall mats? Thank you.
Yeah they do man, anything that's cheap will have that chemical like smell

Good choice! Also ,these stall mats have decent thickness.
@@snrnsjd yeah I thought so also!

I did this too. By far the best option!
FYI The price match we got was available due to an overstock at the time. You may not be able to get the same.

PLAE has a 3/4 inch option but it was more than twice as expensive. About $10/ sq ft. A little out of budget for us, but I'm sure it's super nice.
Hi, great video. VERY informative. What are your thoughts on shock mats for weightlifting?
Does the XSPEC flooring smell when new?

How do you paste rubber rolls or Rogue rolls on the floor?
We used double sided tape
What kind of floor can I put in to make it sound like I'm in a culvert when I talk on video?
How long was delivery
Amazing video
Thanks!

GOD DAMN look into sound dampening tiles my dog
Yea the audio was terrible in the empty room. Might have to redo this one now that we have a better mic and less echo
