Well that was fun. I do remember seeing that montage put together with "funny music" as you called it more than once. It was good then, it was great now. As a certain somebody often says, "THANSK" for putting that together. When I was in broadcasting, it was often a lot of "fun" running 5 or 6 machines all at the same time, trying to achieve a similar product. You have 4 VTR's all pre-set, and another one to record, some audio (or "funny music"), all has to be run through audio board, and the video board, or switching console. Needed many people to do all that, and even more people if you were producing content in the studio. Here we are nearly 40 years later, and one person can do it all, with the help of digital devices, known as computers. I would have loved to go on an adventure like that. Oh, wait.... I've been in trucking for 35yrs now, and some of my adventures, while not quite as severe as that one, seemed like it, lol. Yes, that was a difficult and thankless task with the odds completely against success, but you did it. Not sure if you are able to mention the other loader operator's name, or the pilot's name. First names will do. Or nicknames. I just hope that their last names aren't "WHO" !
yes things have changed big time in 10 years for making videos. go-pros were expensive plus we had no way of doing anything with the film footage since the internet speed was terrible. plus no way to store all the film footage too. what we did was just for fun and the money. i learned a long time ago not to show a person face or make mention of their name. welcome to the new world we now live in thansk

As a new subscriber, Ive' been looking at older videos. And what an adventure that was ! Five days sleeping in a loader cab in the middle of nowhere ! I would do it !!
thank you, on that adventure the Hollywood film crew did not want to come because it was too dangerous. mean while they filmed us on the winter roads for the TV show trying to make it look dangerous, lol. we are just having fun here on the learning channel thansk

Operation OVERLORD, in Normandy, France, June 6, 1944, now called D-Day. 2,501 Americans and 381 Canadians paid the full price for our Freedom from Communism on that day. Howdy what was the purpose of running the loaders all that way? Maybe I missed it cos I'm drunk! 300km in a loader on a maintained road would kill a man let alone what you boys went through. Wish I could met you king but I've never been on an airplane....cheers from nz
these remote communities need heavy equipment to keep them going. for some reason the government was involved and a few other things with no loaders in the community when the winter-ice road closed for the season. the case loader was from the community and was in the south being repaired plus a new replacement loader was purchased so 2 loaders were to be in the community at all timed for garbage, fire protection plus any water line breakage and of course snow removal. we got involved since we run the winter-ice roads long after they closed for the season. when the old 966 arrived from the south with the communities case loader for us to drive back in, i knew someone got screwed buying a loader over the telephone. oh well we made it and had fun and the community survived until the winter-ice road opened the following year. thansk

Unfortunately wheel loaders don’t have good traction at the best of times in wet snow , mud compared to a tractor tire
