I love this video. Friends would never believe me if I told them that I watched a video of a bus route for 1hour and a half. I grew up near Canterbury and it makes me happy to see it. More videos like this please.

One thing I've always loved about the UK is the various greens you see everywhere, different shades from light to dark, really makes for a beautiful look.
Even in the big cities you can easily find areas with lush green plants, trees, shrubs, bushes, hedges and grassed areas. It's so pleasant to walk around the part of West London where I live because we're surrounded by greenery; but as you go outside the city it gets even nicer; the lush green on this bus journey was fantastic. Must be a pleasure to just sit at the top of the bus and gaze out the window on your way to wherever.

The bus drive was absolutely awesome, British drivers are skilled and deserve every bit of salary, driving on those small, street with those huge double Decker buses requires experience and patience. My hat is off to every driver.

One of the really great things about these bus ride videos is for someone who is going to go to England to compare the vehicle code to the way people drive. There is a lot of great learning to be had simply observing how people drive in the UK.

I took a tea and cake break at Whitstable 😂 and was astonished at how different the light is down there. It really is amazing. I had no idea that Kent had such beautiful houses and so many different styles, painted clapboard, red tiles and deeper red roofs, some had huge windows and red tiled verandahs over the front door. All of them had wonderfully designed front gardens. Parts of Whitstable central reminded me of the less attractive parts of Alton town centre in Hampshire but nothing's perfect...except your videos.
You take us to places we might never visit and see how other people live, their homes, the seaside ( I live in landlocked Surrey) and all with a bird's-eye view.
Thanks a million. 🤩 Now I have to board the bus for the return journey through Canterbury. Au revoir. 👋🏻

I was at that very bus station on Friday last week. Took a trip over to Canters from Folkestone to do the charity shops. Shame almost half of them have closed down. Was really quite shocked at how run down the city centre looked, especially the top end where Debenhams and Nasons used to be. So many empty premises. If you're in this area again, may I suggest the Folkestone (or Dover as that's where the bus starts) to Rye journey. It's a lovely trip across the Romney Marsh.

Sadly I agree about Canterbury (I grew up and went to school there in the 60s and 70s) It was considered quite a “posh” city in those days, and of course with the Cathedral was a big tourist destination. I was there just a couple of weeks ago and so sad to see the city centre almost derelict now in comparison. Such a shame the local council obviously must have lost control at some point.

People here in 🇺🇲 doesn't respect the transportation services 🚇🚝🚅🚄🚌🚈🚎🚊 because many people have their own vehicles. Speed isn't much of a problem because all they received is a ticket or a fine. And many doesn't even have a license or proof of insurance. Just keep driving until you get caught. I noticed very few 🚓. That's different. No heavy lottering in public. Big difference in 🇺🇲. Thanks for the ride 🇺🇲🚌💨💨💨💨

Road construction is built and maintained by either the local council (e.g. London Borough of Merton), Local county council (e.g. Surrey County Council), the local "Passenger Transport Executive" if there is one (e.g. Transport for London or TfGM) and Highways/Motorways are funded by "Highways England" which receives funding from general taxation (e.g. fuel tax, income tax) and grants, subsidies from local authorities and the Westminster government. Some roads are privately owned mainly by street residents/property owners, government-owned companies such as Network Rail, utility companies (e.g. Thames Water) or other types of businesses (e.g. manufacturing) and may or may not be open to the government.
      I hope this helps.

@@sharon2508 Kent is the county, located in south-east England, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and is just south of London, Essex and west of Surrey, Sussex and North of France (Calais specifically)
