No , it won't be bitter..and we are balancing with the sugar and I suggest you give a sugar glace on top which makes a lot of difference.i use the standard measuring cup

Next time I'll only use orange zest and not blend the whole orange because it leaves a VERY strong bitter orange peel after taste. Also, I used half the butter and only 1 cup of sugar and it came out perfect in texture but still too sweet.

Use Valencia oranges..don't have much seeds...it won't taste bitter...sugar will compensate and don't forget to sugar glace

You may, but I don't suggest because it has oranges , and sugar is required to avoid the bitterness
