Downtown is getting boring with it’s 5 skyscrapers
It’s a river, it’s just highly controlled for flood control. Every lake in The Dallas-Fort Worth is the result of dams being put on the Trinity River or its tributaries. The Trinity River is 710 miles long.
It’s a fantastic urban wild grasslands park. Walked there just last week and saw tons of wild flowers and birds. Brilliant and great for people and the air quality and natural environment
I know backyard streams wider than the Trinity River here. The MHH Bridge, while very nice, is unnecessary. Suspension bridges are usually for suspending a deck over a relatively wide body of water so that ships can pass under. I get it though, you're in need for an iconic bridge structure to compete with the Big Boys.

Looks swampy. It's a good idea, I guess. Flood water could damage trails and park structures but as long as they keep it as natural as possible, it shouldn't be too hard to repair and maintain.
Ok so why not mention Golden Gate Park in San Francisco? Because it’s been bigger than Central Park for years. So this isn’t surprising that this new Park is going to be bigger than Central Park
The 600 million dollar park that doesn’t exist yet will be a disaster because it’s in a flood zone. It floods down there from bank to bank almost once a year.
I wish my city had a downtown skyline like that the only benefits we have is great beautiful scenery and a river with a nice river front with pedestrian bridges
Anyone from Houston jealous here? Also the fact that Dallas Cowboy's are going to the Super Bowl when THE SUPER BOWL IN HOUSTON?!?!?!?!?!!?!? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?!?!?
For some reason I thought the bridges were roller coasters and I got really excited. But looks cool. I live near Dallas and it looks like a nice place to take a walk in. Oh well. If I want to ride a roller coaster then I can just go to Six Flags Over Texas, which is about an hour away.
Clean?! Lmao there’s no such thing as a clean urban river. It’s impossible to keep clean because when it rains, all the water flows into the river. That’s how rivers work…

Dallas has lots of green areas that are not being taken care of, lots of space wasted for trash. What you guys need to do in this city is INVEST IN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, TOO MANY CARS!!!! lets make this city walkable, sometimes I get surprised to see a human being walking on the abandoned city sidewalks.
Dallas is actually fixing it for a while, there has been a big trash area near south Dallas and but a few weeks ago Dallas took all that trash out and building some kind of flower park

You're always trying to compare yourself to New York, Chicago, and LA. There's just no comparison. You are LANDLOCKED. The little Bronx River through Westchester County is wider and has more water than the Trinity River. The bridge is very nice, but unnecessary. No matter how big you get, you will never have the iconic status of NY, Chicago, LA, Boston, DC, SF, Philly, Pittsburgh, Miami, even St. Louis.
I don't think they really care, the comparison is purely for ease of understanding the scale of the park. Plus this will likely never be completed now, not like this anyway, where they were going to put a lot of the park land there's now apartments and other building on all sides.
Leon Luo it will bring alot of tourism from national and international which will make growth in the service sector so more jobs and diversified economy, it will also be a very enjoyable place for people living near the city to relax in the weekends and ensures the rivers ecology will stay healthy
