It's kinda crazy just how much influence Smash Ultimate can have. One-Winged Angel has enjoyed one _heck_ of a resurgence since Sephiroth was revealed.

It definitely did have an impact considering that sephiroth's reveal and resurgence finally made me start FFVII after holding off from playing it for like 9 years
Indeed. I remember hearing this tune in some old memes back in the early 2010s. To hear the opening theme and to learn what the whole song sounds like was a wonderful surprise! I didn't know who Sephiroth was, but I'm glad I do now.
