worked for my 2014 Pathfinder with 134k miles, great video. also I was able to remove the whole shifter to access the switch and bend it without removing the center console from its place. all you need to do is undo the shifter selector shaft which is attached to the shifter. once you do that just wiggle the shifter and you'd able to remove it from the console 👍
Mike Tech you so much, just finished working on my 2013 Pathfinder,. I followed everything from your video even order the part from your link now my gear shift is back working. Thanks for vid!
Awesome video Sir ! TY so much ... Some more information to help others : the main console has another screw to be removed or else the center console will NOT come out. Its at 5:56 in the video and the extra black screw is at the bottom of the screen by the brown harness ... you have to remove that screw or else the console will not come out. Also, i noticed that my console had an extra wire harness just floating around -- when i went to put it back together i was scratching my head trying to figure out where it goes - I think its an extra and it does not plug in anywhere. - i guess we will soon find out :) The video is awesome save me mucho $$ TY again Sir.
I just wanted to tell you thank you I had a couple of issues putting screws back but finally with your video I did it. so if you ever in Tampa lunch on me . Little tip I could not take arm rest off unless you move the lever to 1 or 2 lol I was like dammit. This is the best video. Thank you thank you.
Thank you so much! Following your guidance i replacef, lower switch only. Took me maybe two hours, but everything came back right and functional. Thank you for video
I'm so glad I discovered the bug and it's all thanks to you Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear Imagine that the agent asked me to fix the defect equivalent to 1000 dollars only for this simple thing and I have to wait two weeks I am very grateful to you Muhammad from Syria 🇸🇾 🌹🌹🌹
Just fixed our 2013 Pathfinder using this video as a guide. Took about 2 hours start to finish. While a few minor steps were missing, overall this video is an excellent tutorial on how to replace the microswitch. If your car won't shift and you have a basic knowledge of hand tools, save yourself some serious $$ and replace the switch yourself.
The switch itself isn't bad. The tab that rides against the plastic cam gets bent and then it doesn't push the switch correctly. I fixed it once and it happened again. I may wind up just replacing the switch after all.
It is. Just fixed mother-in-laws 2013 Altima. Not sure what this part is called. I've been the one in my pathfinder back so much it's worn out and need to just order the part.
Great video thank you. Caution to pathfinder owners-if you buy the repair kit” and the 1/2 parts completed in this video doesn’t work-you’ll have to get the full assembly. I don’t know why they ship that assembly kit with terminals/covers over the pins. You basically can’t get them in. Still better to pay $500 for an assembly kit versus $1000 at a repair shop. This fix is a pain!
This video is not helpful he completely skips the center console removal. There are two screws under the ac controls that you cannot get to without breaking the side panels or remoing the ac and stereo. I wish there was a video that actually showed the removal now i have to give nissan 1800 for a switch.

Thanks.... I was thinking about installing new solenoids! I might have to do both! Having that problem now but ours is a pathfinder 2013
What was your solution to this. I have a 2014 and it slips to neutral when in drive.
Could you hear the clicking from the brakes being depressed or is this switch that causes the clicking sound to activate the blue solenoid?
good video,,tnx for the help,......mine ended being the same switch,,did the same bend and it worked
Super, thanks for share all this!!!
