Hell yea! Love the portrait at 05:38, the snow streaks look so good. Just dropped off my Ortho from my trip to Death Valley. This video is making me looking forward to how they come out!
I purchased a Yashica electro gsn 35 this morning and dropped it off to get it serviced by a technician that worked at Yashica factory assembling cameras in Japan. I was lucky enough to finsd few rolls of B&W film locally and heading to Smoky Moutains tomorrow after i pick up the camera from technician. Funny that i picked up the same film and heading to the same location to test it out. If anyone has any advice on expsoing, to whether under or over expose i would appreciate it.
Such great moody conditions to shoot in. Great shots, really makes me want to try out the film and see how it renders the dull grayness here in Toronto, although Toronto is nowhere near as photogenic as Smoky Mountains
We got really lucky. It was not snowing down in the town we live in but as we started to climb in elevation it just starting coming down. The mountains blessed us for our TH-cam video lol
As much as I love the idea of having/shooting with a Contax T2, I cannot justify the ridiculous price tag. Also, very tastefully edited video. Pleasure to watch.
Man, I'm down in Raleigh and have been thinking of planning a trip up to around Asheville and beyond for the longest time now to shoot. I know your in TN but I'm beginning to love NC by way of film. I've already gone to shoot in Boone with some friends and the places you went in this vid may be next on the list!
"in the dead of winter" "it's incredibly freezing" As someone who lives in -40C/F in the dead of winter, I am so very jealous it's warm enough you can wear a light jacket and a hoodie
Are you using the light meter in the Contax T2? Did you add compensation? I'm always afraid to shoot with the camera's light meter in snow since it tricks the meter.
I did not add any. I too worry about it a lot when shooting, especially on this day because it was very dark and 80 speed seems unique. Didn't know if the camera was going to read the DX coding properly, but they turned out..
Hello there, does anyone know where to find the slim camera 'strap' that is attached to Corey's T2? I've been searching with no success. Thanks in advance if anyone answers!
The lack of red sensitivity actually makes some cool portraits - (not necessarily flattering, as all red marks will stand out - but that's how you get freckles to pop)
I had a few, but the camera was already being shot at a very show shutter speed because film speed and lighting so many of them were somewhat blurry and strange. I am glad I have them but not great photos :/
The recommendation for this orthochromatic film for landscapes is based on its lack of full sensitively to red colors. In fall color situations, that can significantly increase folage contrast. In this shooting environment, ortho probably means nothing. Otherwise, its sharper and has finer grain than many other B&W films. It's also devilishly overpriced.
Sauce
Steak sauce!
monotone boys 🔥
The RZ shutter sound for the Contax shots is throwing me off so much lol
Max Schoenbrunner 😂😂😂
Props to whoever has been edited the last few videos. The little flourishes here and there are a real nice touch.

Rick thinking about selling my RZ & getting one!

Awesome video 👍
I live in one of the many small towns in WNC! I've been to Cherokee many times! So cool to see all of yall's creative shots from there!

Always a pleasure to see your videos! Next time your in Texas hit me up and let’s shoot together!

Watch the movie the lighthouse tho it was shot on double x, they used filters to make it look like ortho film

- contax t2 photo pops up
Great video though!
We had reasoning behind it, but yeah, won't do it again. Glad you liked it!
thought the same thing😅
Hey Corey, fun video! Do you edit these photos? If so, could you show us the before and after in future videos? Much appreciated!
Nice. Need to give Ortho a try myself. Just a small hint; You can put the dark slide into the back of your RZ67 film back ;-)
I did not know that! Haha. But I don't know much about the RZ lol. Thanks for the tip!
Corey Wolfenbarger yw ;-)
Great video!
sick work bro
the film killed it with the tones

This was sick
*gets taken out by sled... 50k more subs.
I love B&W film
If you fall over and twist your ankle wheel shooting Ortho 80, does it become Orthopedic? Sorry....not sorry
It’s so bad it’s goo....no it’s just bad
XD
Tom, your job is now to leave this level of high quality jokes in the comments on every video. Welcome to the team.
For those two, it would be Orthopediatric.
1:36 why did you skipped this awesome shot with a few the trees in snow and one tree on the right clean
full factor mode son
3:48, yes, shot of the day, he was right :-)
Cool video!
I would totally enjoy a camera Olympics video 😂
legend🙏🏽
So, what’s the verdict on Ortho Plus?
Aw, this was a fun, cute little video.
what tripod is that
those rb/rz shutter sounds on the contax photos confused my brain corey
We actually did that on purpose knowing a few people would catch it but probably won't do it again. Haha. Sorry!
Corey Wolfenbarger just had me on my toes, constantly checking if it was a 35mm or 120 photo haha, all good :)
Instead of RZ 67 it should be “RZ 6 Cannon” freakin ginormous!
nothing but black and white sauce
“For landscapes only”
I saw a portrait in there... naughty naughty. ☝️
The lack of red sensitivity actually makes some cool portraits - (not necessarily flattering, as all red marks will stand out - but that's how you get freckles to pop)
Woooow i need
fire
Nice shots, but gotta shoot ortho on a day with blue skies to take advantage of its properties.
We had planned for it to be blue actually, but such is living in the mountains. Surprise snow when we climbed into the higher elevations.
Orthodox film
ha great funnies 🤪
Btw, nice photos
Whats the insta of your friend Logan? He takes great pics!
crispy
i would love photos just being attacked from a snow fight, would or could create weird and awesome photos
I had a few, but the camera was already being shot at a very show shutter speed because film speed and lighting so many of them were somewhat blurry and strange. I am glad I have them but not great photos :/
