V Star 650 - Installing custom Indicators and tail lights

In this Episode I am installing Custom Indicators and Taillights on the back of my 2019 V Star 650.
I Was given these from a Friend of mine so I do not know the exact the brand.

I have a v star 1100 would the process be the same? I couldn't find another video

It would be very similar, that being said the colour of your wires may be different. Just make sure you use a test light to check it all.
The other thing is your rear guard will detach slightly differently to the 650 😊

I can’t seem to find rear indicator lights anywhere for my 2011 vstar650. Bought it this summer and it didn’t come with turning signals in the back. Is it the same ones that are on the front?

Hey Man,
There are a few cheap and expensive options around.
I had Kelermann Indicators on the front of my bike and later changed the rears to the same.

If you are just looking for stock lights then honestly its cheaper to replace them with aftermarket indicators

What indicator lights did you use?

Hey Mike, these where from a local bike shop.
I am not sure if you can still buy them.
There are some really good micro ones on the market.
Just a warning though, don’t waste your money on cheap ones.

Hey what flasher did you use and how to fix fast flashing

Hey man, I ended up using resistors to fix the fast flashing 😊

@@PeelOutGarage which resistors did you use I ended up buying narva 21w 8 ohms to put x1 on front left and x1 front right to operate 2 indicators on the front and x1 for left and x1 for right on rear for x1 led indicator both sides, haven’t done this yet but recon it’s over kill?

These are the closest I can find, Kellerman make amazing micro lights.
I used them on the front but they are $150 each so it’s not exactly budget friendly.
