  • Simple video on the Yamaha Vstar 650 XVS650 start button relocation from handlebars. This eliminates the stock killswitch and allows you to relocate your start button wherever you want.
    Let me know if there are other videos you want to see on the build?

      @@joeellltt When you mentioned you had to thread the end of your throttle pull cable to get it to fit in the Biltwell Whiskey throttle tube how exactly did you mean? How hard was it to do that? I have a 2008 Yamaha V star 1100, that I just installed 14" ape hangers and needed to get longer cables. I can get them to custom the end to be the harely end so they can thread into this, but saw you and several others mention about threading the oem cable to work. Also how is it running just the single throttle? Also thought about doing that but wasnt sure how much roll back it would have without it? Post more pix once you get the tank and side covers on. I am also relocating my starter and kill switch under the tank to hide them and clean up the handlebars.

      @@ham00700 The whiskey throttle comes with different ferrules which are those small silver pieces on the throttle housing. You have to thread the throttle cable housing to fit the ferrule so the cable is tight and doesn't get loose.

      @@joeellltt Since I needed to order longer cables after installing 14" ape hangers, I ended having them adjust the ends that connect to the whiskey throttle to be harley threaded ends to easily screw into the threaded ferrules. These should be coming in a week or so, hopefully it works out well. Appreciate it. Any pix of the bike with the peanut tank? Looking to possibly swap out my tank as well and install pods under the tank too. How do they perform after the install ?

    Hey man...I just got my 1st VStar....lemme just say....I have touched every single wire in the harness...trying to find out where the diode with the blue/white and blue/yellow wires actually go in the harness. Do I tie them into the same color code wire they call for? I just need to know where it ties into the harness at. Can you please help me out?

    Would you do this and run 2 seperate switches? A hidden toggle for the kill switch and a hidden button for the start?

      Add keyless and an alarm and you’ll have a tough to steal motorcycle

    So where did you hook the red and white and the red and black to. I did like you said connect the red and white and red and black together and connected the blue and white and ground to the push start, but still no turn over.

    Did u have to rejet the carb after installing pod filters?
    And the peanut tank would it sit on the original air box cos it's has space on the bottom to??

    • @joeellltt
      @joeellltt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yepp needed to rejet carbs since air flow is increased - you cannot use the original airbox.

      45mm? Maybe go a tad bit bigger, or use grease for the 45.

    What if I add another button for the ignition and kill switch

    • @joeellltt
      @joeellltt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could do that too - you would have to buy 2 switches and wire them how it’s wired stock, with a toggle switch and push button.

    Late to party, but the kill switch is for emergency use. The key should be used to start and turn off the bike.
