Hyperscroll is the best thing I have ever seen in a mouse. It really helps when you are surfing in the internet and playing games. I think g502 better.
I bought the mouse for 50€, a bout a year ago and I dont really know why people are so angry about it. It works. The Razer app is easy to use, annoying but works. It always worked and had some liquids ligthly poured over it, but it survived only the thumb buttons are a bit sticky, already tried cleaning them with Isopropanol, sadly still a bit sticky but they work, thats the important point. Still dont know why people are making a fight out of it like its any phone against Apple, its just a mouse.
For anyone interested in the basilisk and you don't have the money for it. Get the basilisk hyperspeed x. It's the same mouse but with a battery (and minus other things you won't notice). Edit: no white feet (they are standard), older sensor (which you won't notice), older m1 and m2 (which you won't notice) and no sniper button.
I personally didn't like it when I got the chance. Got the mamba elite. Feels very similar to a g403, scroll wheel steps are much more pronounced, and I swear it glides better.
My Logitech broke on me after a few years of usage. It was a good brand. I just recently bought the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and am in love with it. Is it pricy? Yes. Worth every penny. I love how customizable it is. If you're not a gamer, don't buy it. Plenty of other cheap mice can be bought for pointing and clicking.
Hey i was in your bF5 games the other day. I assumed you were making some b roll. I love my G502 lightspeed. Battery life is amazing, The software could use some work though. This mice looks nearly identical.
I made the switch from the G502 to the Basilisk Ultimate v3 after four G502's died on me. The Basilisk lasted about a year before it started double clicking with the middle click. Rather than rebuy one, I went with the Glorious Model D, and I've since moved on to the G Pro X Superlight. The Glorious Model I is a similar shape to the Basilisk, so when they release a wireless version of that I'll probably pick it up. Right now the Model I2 Wireless is slated for a 2023 q4 release, so maybe I'll grab one then.
Razer synapse is the reason I have stuck with Logitech for years. Aint falling for that trap again. I still have ptsd from that software. Good on them for trying to stay competitive. Imitation is the best form of flattery...i guess.
You must be joking about battery life. My Basilisk ultimate can't last two days without a charge. My G502 Lightspeed has 5-10x the battery life. But the biggest issue for me is the Basilisk always takes a second or two to wake up if it has gone to sleep but the G502 is instant wake. Unfortunately, my G502 is suffering from the logitech double-click issue so I will put up with the Razor's shortcomings for now.
I've got the zelotes gaming mouse, i picked it up from Amazon for £9 in 2016 and it is still working like a charm, best gaming mouse ive used! Exception for the price point but you will be surprised how it performs!

In my opinion, lightweight vs heavy really depends on the game. In games with heavy tracking, a heavy mouse is better, but in a game where you need constant quick flicks a light is better.
Mouse weight is so placebo when you take into account the amount of customization you can have with in game sense vs dpi paired with now functional swing graphs. Once you get any comfortable mouse dialed into comfortable settings you'll find it feels exactly the same as far as sensitivity goes. You can make a heavy mouse feel light or a light mouse feel heavy. That's why I've always loved larger, well built mice. I swear people just go off of in game sensitivity settings only and never mess with any of the other features.
My five extra buttons on the left side of my G502 is vital for me during FPS games. Can't imagine replacing those with keyboard options. The basilisk looks beautiful though.
Heavier mice are severely underrated. The mouse i performed best on, was a super heavy mouse, with a metal base (so it's lowest weight was quite high), multi-adjustable scrap metal looking thing, with weight rings (to increase or decrease the weight of the mouse based on how many weight rings you put on the mouse). I was damn near invincible on TF2 back then. Though of course, the mouse i was using was terrible, but that was for different reasons than weights, the gliding plastics undernear were paper thin and peeled off after a week of use, but i found a way to keep making use of it for a year after that anyway, lol. I wish i could have the same mouse and model, but with improved gliding plastics and a design more optimized for long-term use. Atm i'm using the basilisk ultimate, and it's basically the next best thing... Not as heavy as i would want it to be, would be nice with some weights, so i could choose to make it heavier, but in every other aspect, it's a fucking great mouse. :)
I just got the Razer. Praying that the optical switch won't suffer from the double click issue, that now have affected 3 of my logitech mice within 2 years.
I'll never understand the weight issue with mice and it "HAVING" to be as light as possible. With mouse sensitivity mixed with dpi and now swing graph implementation you can make any mouse feel as light/heavy as you like.... Just 1 good session of gaming after dialed into your preferred settings you'll find that weight doesn't matter whatsoever, especially if you're a low sensitivity user such as myself.
I have the razor basilisk hyper speed. I think its the best one out the the whole range. For the price its an excellent mouse if you like wire less stuff, and I prefer using alkaline batteries in my things because if, they are easier to recycle than lithium ion. I also don't really care about changing a battery about once every two and a half months
$120 better? 4 times the price better? idk dude. (might be) better choice compared to the lightspeed variant, but not the non lightspeed. for me atleast, i dont like dealing with the cons that comes with wireless mice.
Thế Anh Nguyễn Ok first of all that logic doesn’t apply for Razer products anymore. Over the last year they have massive stepped up the quality of their products and the durability. Razer still has the stigma of having crappy “gamery” products. Second of all you can’t just hate on a company for previously having lower quality products. Sure you can like the G502 better that’s your opinion but don’t just actively tell others that their competition is crap.
naise haaton I just use wired mice. I’m not a super competitive gamer or anything. I just like the responsiveness of the high end “gamer” products. I rock the Deathadder Elite but just recently ordered the Deathadder v2. I just use a mouse bungee and I’m fine.
Damn, I forgot about the Chroma version of that one, sad it only does Synapse 2. I have the original Naga Epic (also Synapse 2) and I've been considering the Naga Trinity since I found a working yellow-switch Blackwidow Chroma V2 at a thrift shop for $5.99 and that runs Synapse 3. That way only one system runs Synapse 2 and the other three need only Synapse 3 and not both. Never pay MSRP, btw. ;)
I've owned a lot of different mouses, Razer mouses are built a lot better than Logitech mouses. I've bought 3 Logitech G900s in 1 year because the Right/Left Click would be messed up and just resting my finger on the mouse would activate the mouse. The inconsistency that I have experienced in Logitech mouses is bad. I have really used 2 Razer mouses, 1 still working perfectly to this day. I have worn the paint off from my finger and my palm and the switches in the mouse etc still work flawlessly. I tried the Vypr mouse and didn't like the shape, I also tried the Logitech G Pro Wireless a while back and didn't like it as it felt too small. Well about a year passed and I recently tried the G pro-Wireless (Superlight) again and absolutely love it even though it is the same shape as the Logitech G Pro Wireless, I think it is the grip tape that they included with the mouse. Lol But after using the super light for no more than 2 months, the left click is already starting to get weird. Lots of people I’ve seen reviewing it say it’s to heavy for gaming or to ride for their hand, but honestly, as a very tall guy with huge hands and long fingers, I can’t express how nice it is to have s mouse thst I don’t have to hold it like a claw in order to fit around all the buttons. I know not everyone has huge hands, but for all you piano players long noodlefinger gamers out there, this mouse is absolutely amazing. Perfect
Weight and size for my personal hand type
“100 hour battery life” I’ll give it a day before I end up needing to charge it
For real
My friend has this mouse and it actually does have that battery life
@@rad1ata give it several years. that battery gonna degrade from 100 hours to 70 to 50 and so on
@@RaikaSTi no way, a battery not being able to hold as much charge after several years? Couldn't have possibly seen that one coming.
@Michael Jordan if you turn off rgb. With rgb it’s about a third of that.
Randomfrankp thank you so much for all the set up ideas and giving me an idea of what to get for my gaming set up!
I just got this mouse today instead of the viper and G pro. It feels amazing to my hand! It’s light and god so precise! My gaming skills improved right away!
How's it been so far? considering getting it!
@@SouthernCannibal the mouse has been great man! The battery life is super long, I’ve gotten a few software updates and made the mouse feel a bit smoother. It fits my hand like a glove and I used to get pain on my hand during long gaming sessions... That problem has been solved. I got it for 89 dollars because Amazon was running a sale at the time. Check everywhere! They always have it on sale.
@@musclehead1992 Compared to a G502 or similar Logitech ones, how does the wheel click feels?. Stiff?. Like you cannot spam the hell outta it?. No issues with the clicks not being registered?
Also, can you just save a single DPI "step" and hopefully RGB in the mouse's memory and uninstall Synapse and live without the app itself?
@@DVTHEFOX honestly I have not tried the g502 before but, I did tried it in the Best Buy store and it was heavier than the razer.
I have not experienced any issues what so ever with clicks not being register. On the contrary its an amazing mouse to use. I use it to play COD & overwatch and honestly my skills did improve tremendously. The dpi can be programmed on memory I believe and it has a DPI button I hit to switch between my saved settings but I always keep it around 1k-1200.
I have synapse on my laptop because I also have the wireless black shark as well as the razer wireless keyboard. I wouldn't know if uninstalling it would prevent me from switching between my DPI settings.

Been using this for about 4 and a half months and I agree completely. A bit expensive but definitely worth it. It is probably my favorite mouse ever!
which one?
Just picked this guy up with the charging dock for $60 at Best Buy and whooooo that was worth it.
I just saw the deal and wanted to check it out, is it worth it so far?
@@jaiace5939 Absolutely. Especially if you use more of a claw grip. It's not a big mouse and (compared to my old Dark Core) it's really light, but it's smooth and feels great in the hand.
@@HonkeyKongLive Just got the same deal for about $70. There's only one thing wrong with it.. the left click button kinda wiggles left and right a little and makes noise when it does that. Is it normal or just poor quality control? Maybe I'll get used to it, idk
@@negativenarwhals I also got the mouse recently and have that same issue! I was thinking of returning it, but I'm not sure... it's literally the only issue i have with the mouse because I'm a fidgety person and find myself wiggling it

Made for slightly above medium sized hand, small thumb pad for minimal mouse friction, comes the Razer Basilisk V2. My favorite mice yet.
I'm currently using a G502 and I only had it for two months and I'm having double-click issues with it. Apparently people have been having that issue with certain G series mice so I'm glad it's not just me. Great mouse and all but honestly, since I have a Overwatch edition Razer keyboard, I might switch over to this and try it out.
lol i had double click issues on razer death adder1, then moved to the g502 lightspeed, i had issues of the left click plunging and stucking i broke it trying to pull it outside, so now i will go back to razer with the basilisk x
What an awesome video! Thanks! Keep up with the good work frank!
did anybody else get that asmr vibe when he was messing around with the scroll wheel
Yep it’s so smooth when u set it the lowest
I got the X Hyperspeed a couple of days ago.
Feels very nice for gaming
A little too heavy for me but I adjusted to that quite quickly.
The only thing I'm missing is just a little bit of RGB or lighting. I always think that the mouse is turned of when I look to my right side😂😂
Hyperscroll is the best thing I have ever seen in a mouse. It really helps when you are surfing in the internet and playing games. I think g502 better.
my razer basilisk x hyperspeed stopped working so imma probably get the ultimate now. thank you for the review :)
6:11 Mr. President GET DOWN!!!!!
I bought this mouse so I could do my homework and get my grades up accurately. Using it with 20,000 dpi and it's working fantastic.
New custom keyboard vid!! xD

Nice
I’m looking forward for it
I personally didn't like it when I got the chance. Got the mamba elite. Feels very similar to a g403, scroll wheel steps are much more pronounced, and I swear it glides better.
Razer Basilisk Ultimate: You're weak
Logitech G502: I am you

My Logitech broke on me after a few years of usage. It was a good brand. I just recently bought the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and am in love with it. Is it pricy? Yes. Worth every penny. I love how customizable it is. If you're not a gamer, don't buy it. Plenty of other cheap mice can be bought for pointing and clicking.

Hey i was in your bF5 games the other day. I assumed you were making some b roll. I love my G502 lightspeed. Battery life is amazing, The software could use some work though. This mice looks nearly identical.
I haven’t watched ur vids in awhile. Totally forgot how good they were!!!
Men you play good at bfv. I played good for some time, had a long break and now I am meh at it. Competitors learned how to play

Razer synapse is the reason I have stuck with Logitech for years. Aint falling for that trap again. I still have ptsd from that software. Good on them for trying to stay competitive. Imitation is the best form of flattery...i guess.
I'd say Ghub makes Synapse look good.
How the mighty has fallen.

Man you really did sleep on this mouse it's a beast!
I've got the zelotes gaming mouse, i picked it up from Amazon for £9 in 2016 and it is still working like a charm, best gaming mouse ive used! Exception for the price point but you will be surprised how it performs!

Basilisk ultimate is a wireless mouse
g502 is a wired mouse
g502 lightspeed is $140+ which is the wireless version of the g502
you can get the basilisk v2 which is wired and it's like $80.
Take in the fact that the g502 has been out for almost 6 years
You're basically comparing a wireless mouse's price to a wired mouse's price

I'll never understand how the G502 shakes off the massive DOUBLE CLICK problem so easily.
had that issue with the G305...got a new one...same issue but click STUCK=destroyed gear in mmo/arpgs by accident moving it around stash/inventory bc it was STUCK...same to looting in tarkov...gear/weapons/loot stuck on my cursor SMDH. Gets a 3rd one bc i loved g-hub and didnt want to adapt to a new mouse...scroll wheel moves on its own...SMDH the QC issues NEVER got resolved with the G305...since 2019...ive had one every year...so now im going with a more premium/basilisk ultimate. No more AA batteries...and optical switches. The G604/hero EATS AA batteries like 1 a month...compared to the G305 sensor which is 3m+ per battery. Granted the G604 is always on sale...even 50$ currently...the feet dont last 6m on a hard pad....and the rubber grip is now peeling off bc its my laptop/daily driver mouse...so even the "HERO" would be premium logitech mice....fall apart like nothing. IDK how the shroud or G-PRO X hold up....but for 100$+ not worth my time if they will have the same issues experienced with other logitech mice. For 68$ for the basilisk or 60$ for the viper ultmate both with charging docks...its hard to beat that value aspect or look at 100+$ mice.
@@anhiirr Yep. I had two G502 Heroes that both started double clicking within 2 months of purchase. Logitech support made me do all kinds of crap to prove to them it was malfunctioning to get a replacement. Which is funny because they must know how bad the problem is by now. I have an MX Master and a M705 that are iconic mice that have operated flawlessly for years. Not sure what Logitech did to screw up the G series mice. Anyway, I also finally went with the Razer Basilisk Ultimate. So far, I love it.
@@wdpepler yeah idk i had a G700S that lasted me what felt like forever as a daily driver had 5 re-chargables in rotation etc...and figured the G604 was a "worthy" replacement that took AA batteries so id never have to re-charge....that thing ate batteries for breakfast...and MSRP at 100$ and its barely worth 50$ in itself.
@@anhiirr Yeah I like the Logitech M705 as a simple no frills mouse. It uses about 4 AA batteries a year. Don't think I will buy another G series mouse though.
@@wdpepler you like it because everyone else likes it. It’s the same shit with Samsung phones vs Apple phones; how most people talking about and vote for Samsung phones vs Apple phones. That’s really all I see.
This mouse makes me a god in destiny 2
My five extra buttons on the left side of my G502 is vital for me during FPS games. Can't imagine replacing those with keyboard options. The basilisk looks beautiful though.
There's still no good enough reason to give up my G305 as a daily driver...
Never buying a Razer or Acer product again. No matter what people say.
Same. Even with my Razer keyboard, keys start to not work after a year of use. Acer generally has bad build quality but I never had Acer products.
When you think companies will never change lol
This is just fanboyism in reverse
Razer mice aren't terrible, the keyboards are hot garbage. Custom keebs are the way to go if you can swing it.
@Buster blackwidow lite is really good tho no cap- lock
I just got the Razer. Praying that the optical switch won't suffer from the double click issue, that now have affected 3 of my logitech mice within 2 years.

I recently picked up the original basilisk mouse and the dpi clutch has changed my life
3:19 this is what you all came here for
I'll never understand the weight issue with mice and it "HAVING" to be as light as possible.
When you are watching this using your new G502
I felt that :(
One thing I would say for people who want this is that sometimes after long uses the grip on the scroll wheel will slide 😌

Nah the Basilisk is better

I have the original Naga Epic (also Synapse 2) and I've been considering the Naga Trinity since I found a working yellow-switch Blackwidow Chroma V2 at a thrift shop for $5.99 and that runs Synapse 3. I'm waiting for Razer to release a Wireless Mouse with the unlimited scroll wheel thing. Absolutely love that feature on my G900 mouses.
