This is so true - I grew up always overweight due to medical issues; my first husband always told me various things that would devastate my self-image. Finally, I met a man who loved me as I was, and supported my through bariatric surgery; I am now healthier, and in his eyes, still as beautiful as I was when he met me. Being accepted as you are inspires you to be the best YOU you can be.

I just find this drama completely unnecessary and backhanded. He literally made fun of her when she was bigger and sided with that "pick me" mentality, not taking her seriously. But when it came to her losing weight, he suddenly pays attention to her. This is what I meant by the male lead being an actual joke. Look at the way he's clinging to her now, trying to get with her after the weight loss - what a joke. How damn biased. If the male lead didn't love the old her, there is absolutely no reason they should be together. Now that the female lead gains confidence and realizes that he’s just a damn idiot, he’s being hella hypocritical & acting all shocked because she’s refusing to do anything with him. What's the reason behind this? Drama its pointless, I mean look at this 32:47 his ego, is BIG ASL. “You lost weight for me, and now you’re dancing I know.” I wouldn’t even forgive someone like this or get with him because he’s the type of guy to get the female lead pregnant, and once she gains major birth weight, he would body shame her. This drama conveys nothing but beauty standards and suggests that he doesn’t love her for who she is. This isn’t a glow-up. There are plenty of dramas that didn’t have the best portrayal of beauty standards and insecurity issues/weight loss, but this one makes me shut up - this is worse portrayal I’ve ever seen 3/10
At least this drama still has some relevance to me and makes my blood pressure normal 😂

So frustrating how these writers portray the FLs' characters in these short dramas...many of the dramas are ruined by the FL's lack of a spine...but, thankfully, there are a few(not enough, imo) good dramas that allow the FL's to have a brain, strength and wealth...we just have to weed thru these weak, meek, dumb &pathetic FL's to find them😢😅 but even w/those good qualities, many are ruined by the writers making the FL be powerless against the 2FL& the ML😑

After watching it,I can clearly say it was not all about being fat and then diet to get thin.
For her it was about love.Love because she did not want to loose her husband.Being fat gave her a low self esteem.She alone decided she wants to be slim for her husband.
In real life many a woman chose to take care of her image to please her man.Yes it was a sore point for her husband but he still cared in his way.He saw his wife for who she really is.
