I liked that they didn't use the Diary gimmick in this version. Everyone realized they were wrong in their own way without it being made plain. It made their regret feel real.

I enjoyed this variation because the FL becomes what she is due to her own intelligence/efforts. ML supportive. 10 years of neglect from family, but then they keep trying to say FL should just forget everything because they’re "family". I felt for the 4th brother though - he realized earlier, and his bullying was stupid high school stuff. Much too late though. But it's nice to see recognition and regret portrayed from the other characters.

I’m happy about the extended romance even if it was still only a little bit. I’m happy about her nonbiological brother and his support of her. I would have liked to see another female around her like they had in the other versions. A best friend would have been really nice. Taken all together this was a good solid viewing experience. I’d watch it again and probably will at some point. Thanks to the team that put this together. Oh, and btw. The brothers were pretty good at acting. Nice job.
I've seen many versions of this storyline but WOW it never fails to hit me in the heart the way the FL's biological family treated her over the adopted daughter. With that treatment who needs enemies & people like that. I'm happy she didn't forgive them & was strong, intelligent & independent to survive the neglect, oppression, abuse & schemes. ❤ the FL's childhood friend Hai & the CEO Su. Epic ending 😊. Nice casting, acting, costumes, hair & makeup.
FL did good. She took her second chance and left that evil family. They treated her like she was nothing and like she was an outsider. She left and became self sufficient and became rich without them. They try everything to make her feel like she owed them bc of their family name. They didn’t help her one bit and now they act like she owed them. Glad they all got what they deserved where no company and no money except themselves. She was like nope don’t look for me and don’t come see me. She was like I am so done with you people. She did good for herself and got her a happy life and family.
Parents and siblings favouritism against Shu Yan has strengthened her character development. What goes around comes around. Shu Yan has good caring friends outside her family.
Bring on all the reborn and cutting ties with the family plot! Such a broad plot it's easy for screenwriters to make it their own or keep key point but change up the storyboard. For example, I've seen four of this plot that involves a diary and they've all did their own thing and the same for plots that involved a variety show. It got the key points but changed it up. I have a playlist called reborn cutting ties with the family with the dramas I've come across.
It would be interesting if there were a reconciliation but if that were to happen I would want it to be with the eldest sister in the first one I watched where she was a scientist. That eldest sister was the most torn up about her sister.
Wow another version of the lost daughter found but unloved by her real family and they only believe the adopted sfl, real daughter rebirth. In the end the family finds out it was all the sfl that was doing evil, fl gets even by cutting them out of her life as they watch her walk into the sunset of joy without them. This is like the 6th one I've watched and for some reason I love this plot, they would have to be really bad actors for me not to watch it.

One of the best versions of this drama. It is more realistic than others and the dialogue is something you remember. Fl said in the end when family wanted forgiveness and to start over that there is no road to sincerity since sincerity is the road that pretty much sums up how to live a good life...live with sincerity then you do not need to look back and make amends or have regret.
Great drama, only wish they showed more of her adopted brother.. he was so supportive. As some others have mentioned, i did feel a little sorry for 4th brother..
The abuse is hard to watch, but the revenge is a joy to see. The FL takes them on like a prize fighter when the she gets strong. Nice version of this drama.

Dumb description. She's NOT humiliating them! She's minding her own business and trying to get away from them. They are humiliating and destroy themselves. This is NOT a "Revenge" story. She gets "Revenge" by leaving and living her own life. Letting them live with regret as they realize how they misjudged her. It's why this is the best Reborn plot out there.
What a well made drama! I'll certainly be watching this again in the future! I might just comment here after watching for the second time! This truly was wholesome and a masterpiece. i really enjoyed how the drama focused on her getting stronger and more mature & not timid like she used to be. Although i wished to see the romance between the FL & ML. At first i thought her success was sudden and overnight, i realized that her sufferings and her having to pay for her high tuition all accumulated and contributed to what she is now. The story had a happy ending. The FL played her part as she unconditionally loved her brothers but if they really loved her and were sincere, they shouldn't force her back home but let her live her life peacefully with the people who love & cherish her. Also unfortunately the father passed on without getting to realize his wrongdoing just like everyone else. To be honest i've never written such paragraph comment before :D But boy was i satisfied with this drama and i'm glad i found this drama!!!

An empowering story about a woman who overcomes a painful upbringing by making a lot of smart choices and being strong enough to hold her ground and distance herself from those who hurt her, while inviting supportive people into her life. When they were constantly begging her to return home, I wanted her to say: "Why on earth would I want to go back to that loveless hell hole?!" But she made it clear.
👍👍 This was a very good version of this story line. The actress that plays the FL is excellent, she went from a scared girl being abused by her bio family to an elegant, strong Phoenix rising from the ashes. She carries herself so beautifully, she's very elegant and has an aristocratic air about her, like she's from old money (..you know like generations of wealth). I've seen the actor that plays the character that lends the FL money to start her business, in a drama where he was a bad guy. I commented that he was too cute to be a bad guy and I'm happy he's playing a good guy. It's only a matter of time before he plays the male lead in a drama. As for the FL bio-family, once again they reaped what they sowed. They were an awful bunch, never taking responsibility for the abuse, just expecting her to "forgive" them...they were delusional. In other versions of this story line there were explanations about why the mother was so violent towards her bio daughter. In this version there was no explanation about the mother's reason for being so violent.
I think the reason behind the mother being so vicious to her own biological daughter is because the mother didn't see the FL as a daughter, but a failure. She abandoned her 3-year-old daughter because she felt like she raised her wrong, and adopted the 2FL to start new and raise 2FL "correctly". I got this from what the mother said to the 2FL as a little girl, in front of the orphanage gates.
Honestly the adopted daughter explained it. Mother was not loving her children, just want to show off her perfect children in the society. She was ashamed and in hatred because her real daughter was not perfect in her eyes. She did not raise her so Shuyan was beyond her standard
This one is likable and frustrating at the same time. I like that it wasn’t her diary that made them remember what happened before but yet the boys never once corrected their parents or confront their evil sister when they discovered what she did.
*I want more versions please tell me if you know about any* this version is the 2nd version I've seen.. of course the FL is firm & strong in both but in the 1st she was a bit dependent on her "uncle" but in this one it feels like it's all her! but bc the FL is more of a little girl in the 1st one it made me cry so much I've never cried this much over a short drama

I commented that he was too cute to be a bad guy and I'm happy he's playing a good guy. It's only a matter of time before he plays the male lead in a drama. As for the FL bio-family, once again they reaped what they sowed. They were an awful bunch, never taking responsibility for the abuse, just expecting her to "forgive" them...they were delusional.
In other versions of this story line there were explanations about why the mother was so violent towards her bio daughter. In this version there was no explanation about the mother's reason for being so violent.
I think the reason behind the mother being so vicious to her own biological daughter is because the mother didn't see the FL as a daughter, but a failure. She abandoned her 3-year-old daughter because she felt like she raised her wrong, and adopted the 2FL to start new and raise 2FL "correctly". I got this from what the mother said to the 2FL as a little girl, in front of the orphanage gates.
Honestly the adopted daughter explained it. Mother was not loving her children, just want to show off her perfect children in the society. She was ashamed and in hatred because her real daughter was not perfect in her eyes. She did not raise her so Shuyan was beyond her standard

This one is likable and frustrating at the same time. I like that it wasn’t her diary that made them remember what happened before but yet the boys never once corrected their parents or confront their evil sister when they discovered what she did.

this version is the 2nd version I've seen.. of course the FL is firm & strong in both but in the 1st she was a bit dependent on her "uncle" but in this one it feels like it's all her!
but bc the FL is more of a little girl in the 1st one it made me cry so much I've never cried this much over a short drama
