Not the way they did their kids. Thirdly. I was a nursery teacher for 10 years. Yes they can tidy up. But you have to make it fun for them. In the nursery we played a song from Barney. It's called the clean up song and us nursery teachers would sing it as we helped the children pick up the toys. Fourthly. They never ever put stuff away in the right place. And there will be kids that don't want to but for my son at home he was put on a time out because I was asking him to do something that was somewhat his responsibility (when you want independent children start early) he was only ever put on time out for 2 minutes and he started cleaning up. Target has 4 dollar foldable or dollar store too. I use this method so helpful. Our space is small and we both have a disability so organizing every time takes energy so the bins are the go to. Gotta save energy and do it when we have it. When we get a house it will have more space and we don’t plan on buying anything really just keep reusing and seeing what will work to make smart purchases that will take the pressure off of high maintenance. I think he will benefit from those baskets that is a wonderful idea.

I usually made them put their toys away before being allowed to start new fun, because I wasn't cleaning up after them when they are old enough to clean up. It’s harder when the kids are young but the easiest way that’s worked in my life is separating dirty cloths. Aka everyone gets their own hamper I bought the cheaper cloth $30 split doubles hampers that have velcro to hold up mesh bags for easy transportation but it’s helped a lot only a few of our cloths get mixed now and again but majority it stays separated doing laundry separately pre hand. And also it’s hard at first but becomes a lovely routine to always change by your hamper so dirty cloths have no where to go but the hamper or the floor in front of the hamper making it easier to rally up cloths as wel.😊 I do stinking love your videos gives me more faith in some of the hard mundane stuff
