Nothing wrong with wearing shorts on your farm and in your videos! It’s all about comfort and functionality! Amazing to see modern day cement silos going up with somewhat of old style methods! Glad to see PA dairy industry alive and growing. Out west here in Arizona we have some pretty huge dairies and feed lots.
Eric your dairy operation and house keeping is really impressive. You can see the pride you and your family have in your farm. Thanks for staying committed to dairy farming.
Clothes don’t make a man. Money doesn’t make a man. Trucks and tractors don’t make a man. What makes a man is the amount of effort that he puts into respecting ALL life forms, whether plant 🌱 animal 🐄 or person 😁. And I see you 👀 put in the effort to be a GOOD man and that comes from learning from others what you need to know to be successful man and putting your Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding to GOOD work. You are feeding the cows 🐄 the grounds and the people that you share your life with. 👍🏻 Good 👍🏻 job Eric!!
Your cows, barns, and milking parlor are so well kept. This only happens if everyone involved in your operation are dedicated to making “cleanliness” a top priority. Congratulations to you and your team for a job well done!
Love these updates! And yes be comfortable on your own farm. Your pride in your operation is a real testament to the work ethic instilled in you. Keep up the great work!!🤩
Great to see the Sun out, the doors opened up wide, the exhaust fans blowing and Tee Shirt Temps! And in my opinion...don't sweat the Dress code when working hard! Really never realized just how much goes on during just a single day of farming until I started watching. Of course you all have you daily milking and making food for The Ladies. But maintenance, and break-downs and then field farming keeps you moving while scheduling "to do things later" in your head and hopefully not forgetting. Pretty sure much comes second nature to you all but for this knucklehead I'm scrambling to stay caught up! LOLOL Have always enjoyed you keeping The REAL in your REEL Eric! Thank You! MOO from COW-lumbus, Ohio
I'm pretty excited to see the first silo get filled and the project move into the next phase. I'm super curious about the automation parts. I can't wait to see it get built and run. I wear shorts with work boots all the time on the farm... the debate is usually whether I'll be losing some skin over that choice but never how goofy I might look.
I really like that you get right in and out of your videos....no unnecessary intro or extros...!! Well done! Now, if only others will learn and follow suit! 👍
Eric, it looks like a lot of progress is be made on the Silo project. I can sense your feeling of jublitation BOUT IT ALL. I AM HHAPPY FOR YOUY. Blessings upon you.
I came down that there main road, and let me say, they had 60 ish feet as of Saturday poured. I will also say, those there silos TOWER over just about everything else around. They dwarf the stave silos and harvestore’s that are still there.
Nice to see you go back to your roots! I love that you show new things in the channel, but sometimes we love/need a classic chores on the farm video. Back to the old school once and while is never bad. The repetition is relaxing sometimes just watching you work.
I look at your manure robots and thought wouldnt it be possible to build a small sprayer bay where ot drives true at then end of its route. As the manure osnt dryed of yet
I enjoy watching your videos, great content. I was in your area today for lunch on 4/22 going home to Northern NY from Florida. I am sure you know where I went. I also saw the men working on your 2nd silo, very nice farmland in the area.
Well it is shorts weather, so go for it. I am working in NC. I travel 1 hour each way for work. It is very rural. So alot of farms and ranches. They have camels, alpacas some sort of deer. A herd of horses like Clydesdales but blond and blond cows. not sure what bred but pretty animals.
Eric, I sure enjoy watching the new silos going up, up, UPPP! Three silos will do it? I imagine the mixing system will be fun to watch as well. Be safe.
Great video Eric , you do not allow your milking heard to go out on pasture ? We always did and when time for milking time they would come back to the barn from the pastures , unless it was bad weather or in the bad winter , the cows would go out .
Eric, i love following the videos and always give you a like when i can. On my TV i will wait till then end to do this, but your videos cut off really quickly. Can you add like a 5 second outro ? eg (perkins builder brothers)
Hey, it's your farm brother. If you want to implement Hawaiian shirt Friday's who's going to stop ya! The parlor is looking great, and silo #2 is going up. Looking good
Being that your feed pusher is yours will increase the value. A collectors item. The new silos will be visible from the Space Station.Nothing unprofessional about wearing shorts. This is a farming channel not a fashion show. Great video and thanks.
0:33 it's good to see you have a personal bond with them, I'm kinda curious to know how do you deal with the situation when it's time to say goodbye to them, I'm not a vegan ! btw. Amazing stuff you create! vlogging and farming!👍 From India 🇮🇳
Ok, nobody else has asked yet lol but what's up with the tiny house in the feed bunker haha. We're you bad, and that's a new type of doghouse 😂😂 ,your a great videographer, and your videos are always very informative and entertaining.
Now thats one strange looking concrete truck. The ones i see here in Finland are the mixer is other way around and it has a hose and a pump on it so yeah... Its a lot faster to unload
Hello, I was wondering how your expierance with the ingestable sensor for the cows? I am currently formulating a presentation for the Sustainabily Agriscience class and am doing it on the smaXtec brand ones.
I dont think wearing shorts in unprofessional, you are a true professional in the way you carry yourself and the respect you show for the animals and your farm. Clothes don't make the man
Wow Eric those silo’s will come in handy to store a lot of feed for cattle . Our neighbor finally got their automatic door window and automatic gates and fans on new barns . How our your brush handle tit cleaner works better than the other way or takes about the same time as the other ?
Power your elobow🔥nice video👏🏼but I have a question,When you shovel the straws and pour them into those grooved parts, how are they removed from the cattle breedings buliding?
There's a slurry pit beneath the barn that gets pumped out around every 6 months and spread on their fields. He recently showed how they do it in a recent video: Lots of Manure & Cow Water Beds (Skip to 11;07)
You're not drying teats after the scrubbers? They still seem to be dripping. Don't they coat the insides of cement silos anymore? We used to have it redone after so many years.
Eric, My neighbor lady has a black & white cat. She said his coloration reminded her of a cow so she named him JERSEY. I told her Jersey cows are not B&W, theyre brown. She said, well, its too late now, we'll have to keep calling him Jersey. !
I think I’ve made this comment before, and I’m not a trouble-maker, but how about you and dad buy/finance a set of NEW robotic cleaners and feed pushers? They YOU can be the ones who sell the used equipment in 2-3 years…. Just a good thought…😊

It takes a lot of milk to keep this world turning.
Yes i I can't going to your from

Cows are so very clean. Udders flanks tails looking good.
I was on the 1st place 4-H / FFA Dairy judging team in Indiana in 1977 . Your cows look great .
Eric slaps concrete: "This bad boy can fit so much silage inside" xD
Your cows, barns, and milking parlor are so well kept. This only happens if everyone involved in your operation are dedicated to making “cleanliness” a top priority. Congratulations to you and your team for a job well done!

The robotic feeding is very interesting.
I can see the quality of the forage crops will be excellent. Cheers all. 🇨🇦
Without question the best dairy videos on the internet!

I second that comment. Too many others want to keep their own face on camera far too much and give a lecture.
Very much enjoy seeing the new silo build. The builders are clearly pros. Keep up the videos.
Eric, it looks like a lot of progress is be made on the Silo project. I can sense your feeling of jublitation BOUT IT ALL. I AM HHAPPY FOR YOUY.
Blessings upon you.
Hello Eric, I am always amazed how clean your cows are! No doubt it is the way you manage your herd. Great job and God Bless.
804 and 805 are beautiful girls. Amazing how.clean your barns and animals are. GOLD STANDARD!!! God Bless.
You sounded surprised when you said "Oh, Dad's getting stuff done!". 🤣
Lincoln 225 AC Stick. Probably the most sold welder ever!!
Agreed. My dad has one that has got to be almost 60 years and still does a good job for what it is.
It’s nothing we haven’t seen before but do love these updates and frequent videos
It’s your family farm wear what’s comfortable!
Looks like you're getting all of the automated feed about ready, good luck with it! Thanks and have a good evening!
I came down that there main road, and let me say, they had 60 ish feet as of Saturday poured. I will also say, those there silos TOWER over just about everything else around. They dwarf the stave silos and harvestore’s that are still there.
Another nice video Mr Eric. Looking forward to that second silo getting finished up!
Nice to see you go back to your roots! I love that you show new things in the channel, but sometimes we love/need a classic chores on the farm video. Back to the old school once and while is never bad. The repetition is relaxing sometimes just watching you work.
I used to be an AI tech in Lancaster/Lebanon county, and milked cows as well. Miss my cows! Thanks for sharing your farm!
a really great video Eric. Thank you so much
I look at your manure robots and thought wouldnt it be possible to build a small sprayer bay where ot drives true at then end of its route. As the manure osnt dryed of yet
Eric, great vid. What does dad think about all the growth and automation activities on the farm.
How is the new house working out?
Love the vids, keep it up!

I really like that kind of work ❤
Keep them coming brother from the imperial county California 🇺🇲🇺🇲
I’m really addicted to your vids Eric. Thanks for what you do, in farming and videography.
If you like this channel, SaksDutch Kid is another good one.
Good job, Eric

Your cows look clean , nice to see👍👍
Great as always. TY!
Eric, I sure enjoy watching the new silos going up, up, UPPP! Three silos will do it? I imagine the mixing system will be fun to watch as well. Be safe.
Yes, 3 is the plan. 1 for spring forage, and 2 for corn. 2 of the silos will hold 200 tons more feed than their bunker silos alone.
Well I hope Eric and family are on vacation. I get nervous when he doesn't post anything for a while...I get scared that someone got hurt of somethin.
Been very busy with field work. I have four videos in the pipeline once I get to editing.
"Wake up babe" New 10th Generation Dairyman video dropped!" Love watching the progress on the silos, my dude.
Excellent video
One day Eric will hit us with the what’s good in da hood again
i notice your cows are cleaner than most farms
Great video Eric , you do not allow your milking heard to go out on pasture ? We always did and when time for milking time they would come back to the barn from the pastures , unless it was bad weather or in the bad winter , the cows would go out .

Busy day, thank you Eric for the video.

The parlor is looking great, and silo #2 is going up.
Looking good
It is always good to look professional when you are working in cow shit.
Too funny!
That cart the concrete guys use reminds me of those clown bikes at the circus.
!

great job!
Been dreaming of working in a dairy farm abroad. Soon!
Love these video titles
Good stuff
Eric wins the prize for "First Shorts to work in the Spring Award."
Hey Eric, any thought of expanding the business and going with a robotic circular milking parlor? We are rooting for your success!
watching while i drink milk and wow what a treat!

Love your videos
Very very fantastic farm & as well as cleaning also 👍
How goes life in the new house? Anything you wish youd done diffrent?
You have the cleanest cows and barns on u tube... How do u do it????? Cows look so fluffy!! Lol..God bless... ❤️🙏🇺🇲
Sometimes you just gotta let those pearly-whites breathe! 😁
Eric don’t think the cows will give a second thought about your shorts 😅
How's the solar panels working out? I love watching your videos, but haven't heard any updates on them.
Your cows are so pretty!
Is your triticale making a seed head yet? It looks amazing. Iv already cut mine and I’ll start baling it Saturday hopefully.
Disn't think you'd ever wear shorts. God Bless!!
0:33 it's good to see you have a personal bond with them, I'm kinda curious to know how do you deal with the situation when it's time to say goodbye to them, I'm not a vegan ! btw. Amazing stuff you create! vlogging and farming!👍 From India 🇮🇳
Has the teat prep machine improved your cell count since you started using it?
thanks for this video
I'm interested to hear what your thoughts are on the avian flu spreading through dairy herds in the US.
Ok, nobody else has asked yet lol but what's up with the tiny house in the feed bunker haha. We're you bad, and that's a new type of doghouse 😂😂 ,your a great videographer, and your videos are always very informative and entertaining.
He's letting his cousin store those there temporarily.
Now thats one strange looking concrete truck. The ones i see here in Finland are the mixer is other way around and it has a hose and a pump on it so yeah... Its a lot faster to unload

Love to see you milking!!
When done be nice to see it working.Save time.On a farm seems you never have enough time!!!

experts at milking clean dairy
What does unprofessional mean on a farm. Too funny.
I believe the floor scrapers was well worth the investment they seem to do a great job
Hey man I disagree. Shorts are professional and ment for hot days. I'll be breaking mine out as soon as it hits 65+ lol
You're not drying teats after the scrubbers? They still seem to be dripping. Don't they coat the insides of cement silos anymore? We used to have it redone after so many years.
Eric serious question. How does manure end up on top of the scrapers. Do the cows do it as it passes or is it just debris from scraping. Thx
Eric…you might as well be comfortable while miking. Lots of big mammas in there creating lots of heat !!
To build the silo, you use simple machines. Archimedes screw in the concrete truck, pulley for the bucket, give me a lever and i'll move the world.
Hi Eric, are you guys planning on painting the new silo's?
No, they aren't.
Eric,
My neighbor lady has a black & white cat. She said his coloration
reminded her of a cow so she named him JERSEY. I told her
Jersey cows are not B&W, theyre brown. She said, well, its too late
now, we'll have to keep calling him Jersey.
!
Eric.. do those FutureCow teat cleaners have reverse function? asking for a friend..
obvious joke is obvious 🤪
The milk parlor looks really good after being all washed up!
I think I’ve made this comment before, and I’m not a trouble-maker, but how about you and dad buy/finance a set of NEW robotic cleaners and feed pushers? They YOU can be the ones who sell the used equipment in 2-3 years…. Just a good thought…😊
They don't need a new feed pusher. Their future robotic feeders will push the existing feed as they're feeding.
Is the teat prep a brush unit. An I find it interesting that you guys are putting up Silos compared to just doing a feed kitchen setup.
They feel that the silos will provide better feed quality.
Здравствуйте, ваши видео, как всегда впечатляют!) Можете сделать видео про то как оборудованы щелевые полы и как часто вы убираете навоз. Спасибо
Can you talk a bit about yer breeding policy ,bull selection, AI , Genral cow information
Hope everything is good Eric! I see it’s been close to 2 weeks since your last posted video!!!
Wondering. How many gallons of milk do you produce per day?
