  • The All-New Renault Mégane E-Tech 100% Electric is the first of a new generation of electric vehicles built on the advanced CMF-EV platform, styled within the brand’s ‘sensual tech’ design language and the first model to wear the new ‘Nouvel’R’ logo.
    All models are powered by a 60kWh battery for a WLTP-certified range of up to 280 miles on a single charge, with AC/DC rapid charging up to 130kW as standard, delivering up to 186 miles of driving range (WLTP) in as little as 30 minutes.
    THREE MODELS TO CHOOSE FROM
    Customers can choose from three generously-equipped models - Equilibre, Techno, and a range-topping Launch Edition - with each benefitting from a class-leading digital experience with a 12.3-inch driver information display, 9-inch multimedia display, and Android Automotive OS with integrated Google services.
    The Equilbre starts the range with its 18-inch Oston alloy wheels, full LED headlights, heated steering wheel and front seats, rear view camera, wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™, and a range of connected services including over-the-air software updates.
    All-New Renault Mégane E-Tech 100% Electric features up to 26 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including distance warning alert, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with junction assist, cruise control with speed limiter, and emergency lane keeping assist with oncoming traffic and road-edge detection.
    The Techno model goes further with the addition of adaptive cruise control with speed limiter and lane centring, blind spot recognition and intervention, and rear cross traffic alert with rear automatic braking.
    The Techno’s exterior is marked out by stylish 20-inch Soren alloy wheels, full adaptive LED headlights, front and rear signature lighting and dynamic turn signals. The interior, meanwhile, gains upholstery made from recycled materials, multi-sense customised driving modes with 48-colour interior ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, automatic windscreen wipers, wireless smartphone charging and the full range of Google services including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play store.
    At the top of the range, a special Launch Edition stands out with 20-inch Enos alloy wheels and a gold F1® blade, while the interior gains a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, smart rear-view mirror, and Around View 3D camera system.

    A fantastic presentation. One of the best descriptions of the Megane. Sadly in the UK we don't get many optional extras just 3 fixed model specifications. I think the base model is good value and Renault have managed to keep weight down.

    Most informative review I have seen on this car Max . Hats off to you sir. I have driven the car at one of the preview events, it's brilliant. You can even use the Google assistant to use voice control to turn on the heated seats or switch driving mode. Thanks Max and keep up the good work . Cheers Tees Trev

    Thank you for showing the app a bit more in detail. A lot of reviewers, even new ones on youtube, gloss over software as if it doesn't matter when it's one of the deciding factors for younger generations.

    Meanwhile VW struggles with their extremely poor implementation of their OS, Audi suffers as a consequence. SO far Volvo and Renault just learning how to oursource what you cannot do well and get a proper system made for a car. As a long term Android Auto user (ocasionally Carplay too with spare phone) I can definitel say, that is the way to go. Proprietry systems from manufacturers are almost all rubbish, or then complely closed like Tesla, forcing you to use a sub par navigation system or simply not allowing you to use what you feel like.
    I don't like renault overwall, but this starts to become pretty interesting with those useful screens of correct size and a good system running it.

    A superb review from a very fine Motoring Journalists, who takes the very essence of the car and distills it into what makes it great.....Well done!
    I've just ordered the Top-of the -Range Iconic model (with that excellent Heat Pump). It was a straight choice between a Tesla Model 3 or the Megane, both were the same price.....No contest!
    The sterile, poor build quality, horrid interior, ugly Tesla is so dated compared to the Renault. It's tech is so 'yesterday'. Brilliant move by Renault going to the experts, Google!

    We currently drive a Zoe 135GT (our 2nd Zoe) which we love. We had planned to trade it in for the new Megane, but have cancelled the order because we think the back window is dangerously small. The rear view on the Zoe is excellent by comparison so we'll stay with it. #Rearwindow #Meganerearwindow

      The rear window is small but Renault offer a digital rear view mirror on the launch edition trim which gives a much wider view out the back.

    The 2002 one was the best but the 2008 one looks so bad Renault must keep his own angular traditional design and not follow Peugeot's rounded one.

      Hydrogen very much has a place and Renault are doing a lot with the technology including offering it in the Master van and showcasing it on the Scenic Vision concept!

    I hope it will be cheap, because besides the good looking dashboard, all else looks very cheap, with cheap materials. Noisy interior… not exactly a range champion.

      Oh, let it be. At 10 thousand pounds more you can get a Model 3, with 1/3 more range, and better interior build. Also better software.
      Not sure if Megane will be that well received at its current price

      The Tesla Model 3 is actually £253 more a month than the Megane when comparing them both on a PCP over 48 months with a £6,000 deposit and 10,000 miles per year. For that you get an additional 25 miles at 305 miles. Not the 30% you claim. To get to that you have to go for the long range model that costs almost twice as much as a Megane. To be comparing cars at such different price points is unfair. Although its also worth pointing out the software on this vehicle is being praised as some of the best in the world thanks to the partnership with Google.

      @@smcmotorgroup the cheapest trim isn’t 186 miles range? That’s what I read on your website. I’m supposing the cheapest trim that is advertised on your website have the smaller 40kWh battery, at 37 thousand pounds cash.
      If it is the larger battery, the 60kWh with almost 300 miles range, then yes, I take back what I said, then it’s worth it. Although internal finish could still be better

      @@smcmotorgroup by the way, nothing against Renault. I own a Megane 3 Grandtour and I love it. And have been thinking about electric cars, and I personally don’t like Tesla (brand) that much, but besides them, only 2 alternatives I see are good are out of my range $ (Mercedes EQE, and Rivian R1S that isn’t even available in Europe).

      Only the 60kWh battery is available in the UK. The Mercedes and Rivian are nice cars/truck but then they are also priced accordingly.
