I've got a Patrol as well, synthetic stock, got a 3x9 Vortex Viper scope on it, added a bipod and it's a freaking fantastic rifle! I typically fire cheap Chinese surplus ammo through it (steel case and not brass) and I find that it absolutely HATES it, feeding issues etc... but when I put 165 Federal and 168 Federal Match Grade ammo, it's freaking bang on. I will say that even with the issues the Chinese ammo gives (not all the time) it can be pretty accurate as well.
The main feature of this is the ar15 and ar10 magazine compatibility. If u already have an ar and want a bolt action you can use the same mags and ammo. The only thing I don't like is the shorter barrel. I wish it was at least 20-22inches
@@Darthdoodoo they make them or at least they did make them in different barrel lengths. I bought this one because I saw it on the shelf at the shop, handled it, and yes, the magazine compatibility was definitely a selling point for me. The P mags by far and away offered the smoothest cycling and reliability of all I have tried
Thanks for the information, very helpful.

Great looking rifle! I have a 1:10 twist 308 with the same issues with light bullets :)
Nutnfancy reported that the 150gr federal softpoint did great for grouping at 100yds

Mossberg offers them in barrel lengths up to 22". This is the patrol model, which is better for a suppressor with the shorter 16" barrel.
You’re not likely to get a small group unless you have a small/good aiming point on your targets
The first shot hole will be the aiming point for the followings
308 or 762?
7.62
Can it shoot 308 and 7.62 ?
@@jonathanjaynes.A .308 rifle can shoot 7.62 x 51mm, but not the other way around.
Bummer on the accuracy using lighter more appropriate bullets for the .308/7.62.
@@raywells2858 that’s kind of how the 1 in 10 twist goes… The nice thing is it can stable bullets over 200 grains but really no one fires those.
