Now that is one gorgeous rifle. I am heavily jealous. I would definitely use the ole mill and lathe to reactivate the old girl. Watch 'everything black powder's' making easy 577 snider cartridge video
Very cool gun. Although apparently I can't even watch an Irish guy do a video about a black powder rifle without getting angry at the Irish government. That actually had to be deactivated?
A really nice piece...when you say deactivated...is it officially done or its just the firing pin is missing?...I thought black powder shooting, with relevant licence was OK?...it is in the uk....I'm sure this is the same model I nearly bought last year as an obsolete calibre gun at an antique fair for £120, cheers m8😊😊😊
@@Irishpewtuber I have never seen a Snider action with the ejecting spring being naked and unsheathed. Hope you can get replacement parts from a talented machinist or surplus parts seller. I know that Barnett made many flintlock Indian Trade Guns for the colonies across the pond. Good luck and keep your powder dry.

I'm a follower of his already and Britishmuzzleloaders, another great channel.

I know, it frustrates me too. Thanks for your comment.

@steelhelmetstan7305 it is legal. If I could find the replacement pieces I may pick them up

@@robertrobert7924 I do have a contact for replacement parts but they're a low priority at the moment.
