  • I just put together my new Chicken Tractor from Farm & Yard and let my chickens use it for the first time. They really seemed to enjoy grazing on new lawn areas! You can find this exact model and accessories at the following link: #AD farmandyardpro... or use code: SAVVY_AMY
What is a chicken tractor you ask?
A chicken tractor is essentially a mobile chicken coop that can be moved around your yard to allow your chickens to graze different areas of the yard without the risk of predators.
The Farm & Yard Chicken Tractor has a well-built, sleek design made of an anodized aluminum frame and stainless steel bracing. It's lightweight and easy to move around the yard with little effort.
Watch the video to see how it's assembled and all of its awesome features.

Love this! The nesting boxes are perfect since our girls now lay all times of the day!

Would this work to keep 2-3 hens in full time without letting them out?

How’s the tractor going 12 months on? I’m looking to grab one and hoping it’ll be big enough to house 7 Chook’s

      It’s still holding up well.

Do the chickens poop top of on each other if they are in the nest boxes? Would you say this is enough protection as a stand alone coop?

Chickens poop on anything and everything, including their food and water! Yes, they will poop on each other.
Technically, this should be enough protection as a stand alone coop in a warm climate. However, if you have cold winters, a regular coop is better.
The chicken tractor is great for free-ranging while also providing protection and limiting their range.

I am considering this same model, but are the chickens safe overnight without a door on the coop section?

The whole tractor is secure due to the doors on both ends. However, I wouldn’t recommend this as a standalone coop unless you’re in a warm climate. There isn’t much protection from the elements if you have cold winters.
