    I just love this. Older generations that embrace technology and change. My grandparents were so stubborn and against it. Love seeing that Apple Watch.

    I would recommend for towels or any load of hard wearing clothes, you always want to spin at the maximum possible such as extra high. This cuts down on drying time and electricity usage. If the towels have been spun at a lower speed, the moisture content remaining in them is higher and then leads to longer dry times and higher electricity consumption. Hope that helps someone who isn’t sure

    You-tuber Matt Risinger just posted about this technology--he explains that a dryer vent pushes a lot of air from your house to outside and, since nature abhors a vacuum, your house pulls "make-up air" in through cracks and gaps. If you're paying to heat or cool the inside air, the dryer vent is costing you money. Another reason for ventless.

    I highly recommend storing and keeping a canister vacuum plugged in next to this dryer so that it is convenient and easy to vacuum the lint filter. Vacuuming the lint filter gets it very clean and will lengthen the time before a major disassembly is required to clean the inside of the unit of lint.

      What type of vacuum brand that will fit into the lint housing unit?

    • @edwardlouie
      @edwardlouie 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Kne2450 the brand doesn't matter. You just need to find an attachment that is super long. Miele makes one for miele vacuums but there are many generic ones that will fit 1.25" standard vacuum hoses.

    Looks great for space and energy savings. I would definitely buy an extended warrantee since my experience with GE, Samsung, LG, Kitchenaid etc. all seem to have something electronic that goes haywire within a couple of years at a pretter high rate per unit made. Replacing components will probably be very expensive vs. initial cost. The experience of using all the bells and whistles on modern appliances is cool until it stops working, then paying $1000+ to fix it.

    Do you guys know if a riser would create potential for more vibrations as opposed to having the unit right on the floor? Thanks in advance. Just bought one I’ve done a few loads and seems like a reasonable amount of shake/vibrations. But when it’s on spin that’s where it gets interesting with the vibration going through the floor. The machine seems stationary but that energy is definitely being felt in the kitchen where I have it.

    We got tired of swapping out five used washers and dryers at our house over the last five years. Also, the idea of a dry pushing out all of our AC’d air in our little 1300 sq ft house every time we used it seems in efficient. We pulled the trigger when it went on sale for Black Friday. So far we love it. I’m wondering about getting the extended warranty.

      Those are great points. I wish I had covered how this unit doesn't cause a greater workload on your HVAC in your home. I did get the 5-year extended service on the unit, which is very much unlike me. However I think I'll be able to handle repairs and replacements after seeing how simple the unit appears on the top to just swap out components. Thanks for the comment!

      All you need is some kind of makeup air contraption somewhere nearby the dryer to almost eliminate the extra workload on the home's HVAC system. If the dryer is in the mechanical room of a decently modern home, that is where the makeup air duct comes in. It may make your furnace work less, but the heat pump in a contained room is going to put extra strain on the air conditioning. The exothermic and endothermic reactions of the moisture should make for some good efficiency. With some small changes, this machine could double as a de-humidifier.

    I don't have this unit yet as they have gone back up in price and they are out of stock almost everywhere either way.. I wonder, has anyone tried using dryer balls (not wool, something that wont absorb liquid )in their unit to decrease drying time?..lol.. heat pumps are already used in mini splits, water heaters,etc and the heating capability is improved yearly as far as the minimum outside temperature they will operate in..look into solar powered mini split heating/cooling systems also..I have one and they do work even in Michigan..

    Im getting mine delivered on Wed a have a couple of questions.
    Can I continue to use the remaining Gain pods that i have left from my top loader?
    Also, on the heat pump hookup portion. Does it require a steam dryer hook up installation kit with the Y connector? If it does, is it connected to the hot or cold wayer side?
    I have a dishwasher hooked on the hot side only already and im trying to make sure I have all the supplies I need before the delivery.
    Lol, just in case the installers fail to bring all the needed items with them.

    • @GrowingABetterTomorrow
      @GrowingABetterTomorrow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what you're referring to with some of the resources that you have been using however the only additional items that we ordered when we had our washer installed where the hose lines that attach to the hot and cold water bibs. The water discharge from the unit is the same as the water discharge that is attached to your current washing machine.

    • @brenten6226
      @brenten6226 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GrowingABetterTomorrow ok thank you for your quick reply.
      I was curious as to whether the Heat Pump required the same type of installation kit as the Steam dryer all in one combos do.
      I was going to initially order the LG all in one and it requires the kit, but decided on the GE instead and was not sure if it did or didn't require me to purchase that separately, too.
      The kits hook to the cold water line with a 12" hose, then a Y connector is put into place on the 12" hose, with another hose going to the washer portion and then another hose connecting to the steam dryer portion.
      I'm hoping this one doesn't require it because lol I didn't order the kit. I've had people tell me both things, and none of the videos I've watched have shown the back of the washer and how it's actually hooked up. Thank you again for your reply.

    • @GrowingABetterTomorrow
      @GrowingABetterTomorrow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No all we needed to install were two hoses one going from the unit to the cold water bib and the other going from the unit to the hot water bib. No other materials were required for our installation. I hope this helps!

      There's no actual mechanism or button on the machine to raise or lower the amount. But there is on the online app. Just go to the app and it will be set at Auto, there you have the option for it to add more or less soap.
      If you dont want to deal with the app you can also just add in any extra soap straight into the drum prior to the start of the wash cycle, and then still select the smart dispense option to automatically add what it usually does. I hope this helps.

    Be careful of heavy filling.
    Clothes expand during drying.
    You would want a good drop and lift and air to surround the fabrics .
    Even in this forced air drying less for W/D systems. European machines that have them more then Americans they always cut the load in half .
    When drying . This is NOT A INDEPENDENT DRYER THAT HAS A LARGER DRUM FOR DRYING .
    Heat pump technology is very good and the way it will become more of a standard if not better for future machines. ✌️💦
