Ukkon originally was meant to be a kantus I think but they changed him to be a sire which I think was more unique since we had skorge as our big shot kantus

@@ARuiz-eu3hk well, there are instances of the deviations of what they were. Like Skorge was a Kantus, just a little more competent. Then you have Karn who was a deformed Theron, and RAAM who was an extremely proficient Theron. Ukkon being an advanced Sire seems cool too.
Wait he ISNT a Kantus? He looks like one in sature and body type. I just assumed his mouth was different cause he was messed up.
Ukkon had some bizarre lunatic swagger when he walked and it made him have an absurd charm
What I find interesting that Niles wanted to create super soldiers who were also immune to rustlung but in the end even the Locust were not completely immune to Imulsion. Perhaps because the Imulsion that caused rustlung was the infant stage of it and later stages broke past any immunity the locust had to Imulsion. If they had any degree of immunity at all. Perhaps semi-immunity.
Lambency probably evolved due to the locust's immunity. The imulsion would still be getting in them, slowly getting better and better at fighting the immunity until they broke through. He wanted to make them immune, but that only made the imulsion sickness evolve.

I'm surprised "Ukkon's Bodyguards," wasn't a concept. Like a cross between a Theron Elite, and an Armored Kantus.

Ukkon would've been a force to be reckoned with, if his experiments continued.
Can't even imagine if he had survived his experiments would've made things alot complicated for Marcus and his squad in the first gears of war game
Just imagine if Ukkon lived to continue his immulsion experiments. He probably would’ve found a way to implement lambency into the hivemind. Humanity would’ve been doomed.
Raam and Skorge were big losses, but I believe Ukkon was the locust’s greatest asset. Even more so than the rift worm.
Yeah, the rift worm can be replaced by a giany drilling machibe, Raam replaced by the most elite of therons, Skorge's influence replaced by devotion for the queen but Ukkon's intelligence and technology just can't be replaced for obvius reasons.

to be fair, RAAM was the one who got the closest to giving victory to the Locust
if he had been even a few years earlier in climbing the Locust ranks and become Uzil, the lack of the Hammer of Dawn would've spelt immediate victory
even then, he literally just had bad luck with Dom and Marcus of all people coming to the train

While I think Ukkon’s design is cool and all, I kind of think his backstory regarding making super-soldiers is a little dumb... like, the Locust knew imulsion was the reason for lambency. They’d known that for decades. What made a locust high ranking official think “hey, let’s inject some of this poison into our soldiers and see what happens!” In our world that would be like injecting radiation. Another great vid as always 👍
Yeah creating the super soldiers narrative is pretty sketchy. They should’ve just had it be another substance and not imulsion cos we know the effects of imulsion.
But apart from that I do find Ukkon’s story very interesting.
It is a little crazy but at least from Ukkon and Myrrah's view they understood that it was possible to endure imulsion sickness and mutation but retain your sentience, perhaps he was working to find the "sweet spot" where you could get the benefits of imulsion without going completely lambent. Besides it's not like the Locust really cared about sacrificing a few dozen drones anyway, just make sure they don't survive long enough to cause too much damage to the Horde.
@@lordfrostwind3151 In a way, it's like part of Niles Samson lived on in Ukkon. Niles cared little for his rustlung patience and only wanted to use them for his own needs even though he knew it would hurt humanity in the end more than benefit it.
And yet their religious figures in the lore huffed small amounts of immulsion to recieve visions

Yeah lol the Swarm don’t have much to them but maybe in Gears 6 onwards they’ll have a lot more lore!

@@KingAbzTV That's why I don't consider Gears 4 and 5 to be canon. I believe that the end of Gears 3 was truly the end of the locusts. It just doesn't make sense to me how they would comeback after the emulsion counter measure(a machine that completely destroys cells infected with lambency) went off.

@@dukes1993724 who knows. For a good while it was believed the locust were offset from humans like homo Sapiens and neanderthals but one was trapped in the hollow and evolved from there. This would make the most amount of sense, a civilization under a civilization. The new hope/mountain was believed to had first contact with locust and experiment on them. The Queen connected with them and lead them to wage war on the humans.
But now the entirety of locust species is less than a century old, lay about 200 eggs each day that upon hatching reveals a full grown drone, boomer or berserker. How else would they be able to fight and kill BILLIONS of humans with all their military might.
And as this very video reveals they also tamed enough beast to last 16ish years of attrition at a war of genocide and not make more due to their main creator of their taming devices being killed 1 year in.

I wonder why The Matriarch isn't mentioned in the Locust holy writs? You think the MOTHER of the Locust would get a mention, a symbol, a Mother's Day card, SOMETHING.
Or why she was allowed to stay in captivity at Mount Kadar. You’d think during Myrahh’s rebellion the Matriarch would be the first person they released

Are kantus immune to imulsion and I think kantus are native to the planet
If this guy actually survived and became a scion in Gears of War 4 then it would have explained how the swarm exist. But he got snuffed out way too quickly so I have to wonder, who among the Locust Scions created the swarm?
Probably the speaker, he was a scion that could broadcast and even had his own swarmak, so I feel like he was the big shot, and then passed on his knowledge through the hive mind just a theory I have tho
Dinky the T-Rex I doubt it. He seemed more like a general than scientist. Besides, all swarm and Locust have the power to broadcast messages through the hivemind. I’m thinking Ukkon wasn’t the only Sire to become a locust scientist, probably someone who looked up to him. This unknown Sire would become a Scion and created the swarm to avenge both Ukkon and Queen Myrrah if true.

Well the Locust wouldn’t fight the Queen anyway. But Raam would take out any other Locust. He’s too strong and smart.
Ukkon or raam neither if myrrrah is allowed to use telepathy to call her army.
Myrahh is not strong herself, so if she doesn’t have a following she’d die right off the bat. I’d say either RAAM or Ukkon (depending on what beast he could summon)
Why wasn’t the matriarch the queen of the locust? I know Mira had the hive mind abilities but still it doesn’t make sense
Because her cells were made to in order to make the Locust, so they all saw her as an alpha of sorts and was the ‘mother’ of the Matriarch.

Why the hatred for the COG? Why other humans had suffers for no reason. Why not just target the new hope scientists and have a diplomatic relationship with COG. This will help combat the lambpant and benefit the on the politicals, militarys and economics power. Much better option instead if starting war for not justified reason and killing and torturing civilians.
