Kool knife simple design not into too flashy ...i make guitars and mass production just can't compete with small shops quality 9 out of 10 times... course there are exceptions 😊

I have this one (with camo inlays) and a Model 2. Two of my very, very favorite knives. I commented in another reviewer’s video earlier this week on just how fantastic I think Michael is doing with these. I really hope he does more of the little Slipjoint that he took to Blade Show.

Michael's table was my second stop after the Demko booth at Blade Show and I picked up a Model 1 button lock with the electric blue CF inlay and its a BEAUTIFUL knife! I talked with Michael for probably 20 minutes and he is such a great guy. He told me it's just him and his wife making these in a small shop behind his house and he does everything right there. Milling (scales, blades, hardware), heat treat, sharpening, assembly, everything. Mine is absolutely flawless in its build quality and action and for $350 it's just an unbeatable value. Easily one of the best knives you can buy.

I was wondering what knife you would say that about (in the title re: best on market and "fight me"). I saw the logo when you opened the box and realized you were, indeed, right.
I just got to handle a Hogue X-1 Microflip. I was reminded of it when you were talking about the detent feel. I noticed that Hogue does a thing with that knife where they have a little recess in the blade that "hooks" the plunge in the closed position. It creates an effect that reminds me somewhat of an assisted knife in that there's some pressure required at the end to close it fully. I don't mind it and it creates the tension for the action. I would guess there's something similar going on with this one except you can flip it all the way closed.
