- We dig out a 1988 Seebold Eagle 265 that has sat inside unused for 17 years! We attempt to get it running with minimal work. Can we do it?

There is specifically teak oil and cleaner
That teak swim deck is gold fur'shur'.
This is sweet. Just followed you here (late discoverer of you). My mother is friends with the seabolds. Used to go watch the races as a kit and we’d have pit passes through their team. I honestly had no idea they had production boats of any sort.

I use to have a Seebold Eagle warrior with a 200 Mariner Mag 111 Efi,fast little tunnel hull.Our Fam was in the Boat biz for many years and one of our mechanics and myself bought the boat with the trailer from Tim Seebold,there race shop was about hour away from our shop and one of my freinds was a mechanic for their race team.i always like the Seebold boats,theres several around the St,louis area that are still being used to this day.
Sounds like it was just shut down yesterday. That's gonna be a lot of fun on the river under the fireworks.

I've made money on every boat I've had, when I sold it. Just gotta know what you're doing. 😂😂 And do EVERYTHING yourself. And don't overpay. And hope nothing major goes wrong. Like, nothing goes wrong. Ever. 😂 You're still in Michigan, right? You should get that thing out at Pictured Rock, that place looks amazing. That's my goal when my boats done.

The tubes keep the rain water from building on the cover sweet but them things are awesome

Make shure you change the water pump impeller in the lower unit gear oil and seals exhaust flaps and bellows ect as they get hard and crack with age and can cause the boat to sink😮

Can wait to see this thing on the water. Nothing wrong with carburetors but I’d like to see it converted to Holley EFI. Thinking about building the engine in my Caravelle interceptor but it has multiport fuel injection with the Mercruiser 555 PCM which is, I hear, difficult to tune. Want to convert my to Holley EFI. Great content as always! 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

Great boat. Greg Seabold and Reggie Fountain (fountain power boats) were record holding champion for many years in off shore racing. This hull is pretty rare. Only 1000 hulls were made I belive. My neighbour's had one. 454 stock mark5 engine from factory bravo 1 out drive. Well before its time I belive.
Love the boat also bro, so sick especially if it has a big cam. The cool factor will go up at least, at leeassttt 10,732 x better.

bilge blower removes fumes from engine bay. we used to leave ours on while idling to be safe. bow strap. lube jack move the that all the way down and up to half

Remember folks always disconnect negative battery terminal for long term Storage. Boats, cars, jet skis, Rv s, even mowers, and motorcycles

My buddy has pretty much the same seebold but its red black and white and has a radar arch and a 502. cool boat
That's a nie dry barn there, so no shock its in good shape.

I would be more concerned about rusty valve springs than them sitting. Determine what type of cam, hydraulic, hyd roller, or check spring pressure at installed height and put a new set on. Not that much money, Prime the oil system with a drill primer with the dist out and lube up the springs, get some on the valve stems as well.

For the wood I would use a teak oil, not a stain for varnish.
no need to run remote battery cables, just back feed power through the cigarette lighter/power plug on the dash.

definitely need to re stain teak platform lest three coats clear look better
but on a serious note our evinrude e-tec 150 ho has a over heating issue not the water pump. anything over 3,000 rpms even 100 the heat alarm in our ranger z118 will go off. now the funky thing is even brand new boat engine didn’t always do it what’s bad or what’s causing it?
Fuel injection conversion, or MPI multi port injection
Dont forget to change the gear oil in the lower end unit.
