The fact Lego makes sets of Angry Birds Film makes me sad...
They make sets to any bigger Disney and Warner Bros. movie, so where is the problem ? ^^

That pig nose shield on the front looks like a really good piece. I can imagine all sorts of little details on mechas or some sort of giant knight moc or whatever.
I like how smooth the surface of the hull is, you dont see that much in lego!

These look like something between Duplo and regular Lego sets (target audience: the 5-8 year olds), packages are back to super gloss ceramic coated card stock, and are available at TRU now.
I feel the "pig eat apple" is a reference to Animal Farm

The dynamite was being pulled along at 3:26 (it looks like that, but the ship is actually moving.)
I'm surprised you didn't mention Bomb having a 3 stud wide feet span instead of the normal 2 stud wide.
I always hate having to tie/attach the string in LEGO sets; maybe it's just my big hands/fingers, but it's very frustrating.

Jang, aren't the pieces on the water wheel piece the wrong way round. They should be pointing forward to grab at the water, not back.
+PlazmaKat I just built it according to the instructions, which the box art matches. The entire ship is proudly impractical in every way, but to attempt to be practical about it, if the paddles were attached the other way it would be even more inefficient as tremendous energy would be wasted scooping up & lifting water.

Original didn't want any of the angry bird sets, but now sense they have boat I want one for me lego armada.
Please do lego alternative there are so useful if someone gets you a duplicate lego set for your birthday

The water is not going to be just at the bottom it's going to come up the side
+man liz The water wheel won't work if it comes very high. The top of the wheel has to be above the surface for it to work to provide propulsion.
Ehh... If there's one thing I don't like about licensed themes is that they have all these molds they're never gonna use again.

Are those paddle wheels facing the wrong way (at least for the ship to go forwards) ?
When you were pushing the ship forward the paddles rotated to as the flat backs of them hit the 'water' first, not the scoops.
I've seen them like this in another review too, so did they make a mistake in the instructions or am I just being silly and not seeing things right?

+bazooka bro I don't do numeric ratings -- they're too over-simplified. I can't rate a UCS set on the same scale as a minifig pack as people will draw conclusions from just comparing the numbers.

Huh, I could have sworn I'd seen licensed Angry Bird sets from one of Lego's COMPETITORS a while back... Funny how licenses juggle around sometimes.

Definetely one of the coolest Lego set based on movie, for me. And I think there is destruction element - MAST, cause it's high, and birds can easily hit it and broke it.
Back thing, it's gun I think.
So, as always, you too critise sets, and that set is not an exception.
+interzoneboy I still get regular complaints that I like everything and am too positive, so it depends upon what exact videos a person sees to form their opinion of what they think I always do. I will continue to share my honest thoughts, good and bad, including the hundreds upon hundreds of sets I've absolutely loved!

Ship doesn't have to be destructive cuz birdz don't destroy it in the movie.
If they can do this for $60 in the US then why couldn't they do it for £40, instead it works out as being charged $90 and this just isn't worth that.
nice review but this set would have been more fun if you could break atleast part of the ship.
