BTW you can make a cellar cooler by making the surface area of the wals larger. Digging out some 1 tile alcoves from all the walls can make the entire room significantly colder. If you haven't enough space for that, you could even try digging out the floor so the cellar is 2 levels high, more exposed dirt wall, more cooling.
Just found your content whilst looking for someone playing this game. Your voice, editing and story telling is fantastic. Thank you for these wonderful vids.
What was your favorite building or construction project? Personally, it's between the chapel and town center for me. Something big enough to draw the eyes of both raiders and traders are my faves.
Town center, absolutely! Although I really like your chapels, I personally never build them xD My settlers would be top notch, having everything unlocked, and pray in a teeny tiny 3x3 wooden shed
The chapel was fantastic, but my personal favorite part is a cat name Dog. I also have a cat named Dog because my daughter named him we she was 5 and thought it was the funniest thing in the world l.
Tremendous. I can't believe that you did all this in a few hundred hours. It must have taken longer. Such dedication. Two things, 1. at the start I always find it easier/faster to dig a room which starts as the communal bedroom/storeroom. It soon becomes the cellar to the building above it. But the wood is used for furniture etc rather than being wasted on walls. 2. I never reached this point, but once you have a few captured wolves/foxes, why not encourage your raiders to visit via the wild animal enclosure before they knock on the front door. Should be fun watching them get eaten.
Thanks so much! That's super fair, but I always planned to cut enough trees to have all the needed wood. I've not been impressed with animals in combat. They die really easily and don't do that much. I'm pretty sure one raider could take out 5 or 6 hungry wolf's even if I got them to attack, and with so many, they wouldn't do much to dent the tide before dying off
Loved the video, entertaining and educating as always. The whole village of _ables was hysterical but the village needed one last settler... Bob, every village needs a Bob. If anything he would give the rest of the villagers somebody to feel sorry for with the such an outlandish name.
Thanks! It's a hard game to make videos for. There's so much little stuff to cover that it can get boring. Scripting the first 15 minutes to be entertaining but detailed was a big challenge, but I'm glad it paid off.
I wish this game had a better price. I really want to play it, but I'm also someone that is bored relatively easily with most games like this (even though I really enjoy them and always get excited to try them). It's on sale now (20% off) but, it's still 20 euro (25 normally) and I'm worried I'll play it once for 4 or 5 hours, then never touch it again
I been playing it on off since last year, it worth the buy since when you comeback to play it again there be new update as the game is still not finish.
Tried playing this game a while ago but was very overwhelmed by how much i had to handle (as a midkey micromanager) HahahahahaHAHAHAHA love ur going medieval vids because they break the game down well and are very entertaining --- they make me almost want to try again🎉 but maybe later because i want to binge ur content first
I'd love it if the game had visitors in the future! Your zoo is awesome. I think i remember rimworld has visitors that you can enslave, but just the caravan groups eating and spending more would be cool.
This was incredible to watch, so glad other people rp as much as I do lol. I loved that Chapel in the end! too bad you can't do circular or half windows
Love it again! Say, how about you make a merchant guild city with a huge exchange center, storage yard and sections for every kind of business products.
Yup! But bricks were for the interior. But since wall HP doesn't really matter, I went with limestone for the aesthetics. Modern bricks inside, and rough stone to keep the barbarians out.
switching targets while your settlers' attack on cooldown would reset it. easiest way to implement it is to pause and switch their target everytime they enter their cooldown
It does, but I don't like doing that since it kinda makes combat I already wish was harder even easier. I'd avoid resetting after they kill a target and switch to a new one if possible.
I actually checked it out recently! While it's pretty interesting, I'm really interested in Dwarf Fortress, so I won't be making anything in it immediately.
It seems and understand the game, but simple things do not understand. Outside the walls of the city you have to put very, very many smokehouses, bonfires, carcass tables and other production buildings (cheap). And use them as bait for raiders. While they are destroying the decoys you methodically bombard them. That's the whole point of the game. Absolutely all settlers should be given bows. Even short bows will be better than spears and swords. While the raiders are destroying the decoys you fire at them. What could be easier?
i want to play this game but i dont want to play it... its in my library but every time i look at it.. or even install it. im like... i dont like many features in this game. IDK... i regret bying this because i dont know dont know to do in this game. even if someone tells me all the cool things to do there. sry for my english
I wouldn't say either is difficult at the base level. Rimworld is more challenging on the vanilla hard mode but this game has difficulty sliders that you can max to make the game impossible.
Thanks! I've found more success with longer videos. In fact, the current most viewed video on my channel is explicitly me joining one 15 minute episodes together into one 1.5 hour video. I have more issues getting people past intros and getting impressions/clicks, but even for something like this, 70% of the people watching at 20 minutes are still watching at the end, which makes YT like it and push it more.
@@JustDontDie interesting I love your videos I just have a hard time watching the full thing because I get fatigued to be honest. You're so good at doing information dense content. I would imagine most people have crappy attention spans

I was waiting for the appearance of a master carpenter, called Tabel

They'd tell him that he's one of them, but deep down, they'd all know...
Woohoo! Keep them coming! Your story telling and RP really brings this game to life 💯
Thanks! I'll definitely be heading back to revisit GM once it gets a bit more content.
This games gotten more content if you want to go back in and see if an other run would be fun
This video is perfect. I feel like when I want to learn about this game, all the videos are poorly planned or ill-informed. Thank you

As always, very good explanation and entertainment!🙌
This must attract new settlerss to this game👍
Thanks! I tried to make this one a bit friendlier for new people who've never seen the game before, especially early on.
thanks for the rimwor- i mean going medieval beginner guide.
Loved this video too. I want more going medival storyline lol I'm addicted. Thank you
This is a game that I don't plan on playing, but I really enjoy watching you play 🙂
Glad you like it so much! It's definitely not for everyone, but it's so fun to make stories in.
I'd love it if the game had visitors in the future! Your zoo is awesome. I think i remember rimworld has visitors that you can enslave, but just the caravan groups eating and spending more would be cool.
It'd be a long way down the line, but entertaining visitors with art, decorations, and the like would definitely be cool!
These videos are so enjoyable, i’d love to see you play rimworld! Its my all time favorite colony sim
This was incredible to watch, so glad other people rp as much as I do lol. I loved that Chapel in the end! too bad you can't do circular or half windows
Yeah, I can't wait for a few more buildings that help with stuff like that. The next update seems like a step in that direction!
Love it again! Say, how about you make a merchant guild city with a huge exchange center, storage yard and sections for every kind of business products.
Ooh, that's a good idea! It's definitely fit, maybe opposite the ampitheatre or in place of some of the houses behind the town center.
Haha, nice story! Enjoyed. I love this game.
Thanks! It's super fun =) I'm glad I started my channel with it and can't wait to see continued updates.
love these series look forward to more
ah the return of cats and dogs confusing everyone. Forever. Never change. All the poor -abels.
Aaaand the first one who joins is Pentecost omg. I laughed till I cried. Poor, poor monks and their teleporting honeycombs and apple saplings...
33:57 Ah, you know the brick walls you've already been using is literally twice as strong as basic limestone walls right?
Yup! But bricks were for the interior. But since wall HP doesn't really matter, I went with limestone for the aesthetics. Modern bricks inside, and rough stone to keep the barbarians out.
I love you

Isometric RuneScape graphics and is seemingly very similar to dwarf fortress? Watching
If you get a chance check out Kingdoms Reborn. The way you min -max you would probably like it
I actually checked it out recently! While it's pretty interesting, I'm really interested in Dwarf Fortress, so I won't be making anything in it immediately.
HMPF ... i dont have the "animals" button on the top! What did i wrong, plz help
The only thing I can think of is that you used to play on a really old patch and never updated it when you started again.
@@JustDontDie ok thanks for your help i will reinstall the game, hope that works out!
Subbed!
Maybe we can host the World Cup? 😂😂😂
uppp
i would love to set up my preset likw ''why do i hate my self'' :D
It's important to start a village off on the right note haha

Do you think this game is more difficult then rim world?

Great video. I think even if you prefer huge videos, you should have split this into 3 parts.

This is a great video but i twitched every time you pronounced it "Trow"
Yeahhhh. I learned a handful of words real wrong and learn a new one every few videos when someone corrects me haha.
Where is Fabel?
He's just a myth.
@@JustDontDie Alright u got me 😆
lol, can they host a world cup :)
Maaaaybe not quite.
3d rimworld, lol 😂
