Best help I've ever gotten from a video thank you so much I was seriously having some issues with my car and now I feel 100% confident doing the work myself.

did you have a P0171 EML code or any hissing when turning it off?

Hello mine was showing p0171 and missfire sometimes exactly on cylinder p0302. When i was putting everything back together i noticed that one of the hole threads are stripped maybe from the past owner, therefore, it was not sealing properly for this reason. Pain in the back 😩

@@quikdiy7134 thanks for your reply mate. did you ever plug it into diagnostics and monitor the lambda o2 readings and the short and long term fuel trim? mine drives perfectly, no hesitation or loss of power but i keep getting a p0171 for lean bank 1 :( new lambdas new map sensor and air fuel sensor :( it's really worrying me now. I've bought some injectors to try and a fuel rail but if it's not that it's going to be the throttle body gasket or intake manifold gasket right?

Sorry i did not go toó far because it was not necessary in my case. Too lean also could means defective fuel pump. Yes throttle body gasket or intake manifold gasket could activate this code as well because there could be too much air into air-gas mix ratio. I don't think all thr fuel injectors are defective at the same time. But yes it might be a possibility. If you found through problem post it here mate, so we can share experience, thank you . I hope you find your problem soon

@@quikdiy7134 it's so weird as mines only on 112,000 miles :( hopefully the 2nd set of injectors with new oem o rings fix it, I've got a full custom exhaust which has v band's and im pretty sure 2 of them leak so i'm having them replaced with 3 bolt flange joins so that might fix it. it's a nightmare tho, i'm getting 29% short and long term fuel trims for compensation. if it's not that I'll replace the pcv valve and gromet and hose then try the inlet and manifold gaskets and then the fuel pump. i tried spraying brake cleaner over all the vac and fuel lines and couldn't get the engine to cough or rev up any different so i'm really lost :(

turned out to be a major crack in my manifold letting loadsa air in before the first lambda. my mate welded it last night and now it runs mint

hey dude nice video. I am new to this but I have a question with the intake manifold. is there surpassed to be two of the metal gaskets and the black plastic gasket in the middle of the two? the car I have has only one of the metal. it is a honda jazz 2005 gd1 1.3 idsi thanks bro.

hello thank you for your question this is a civic 1.4 in europe, maybe because the jazz is smaller they had to modify some parts to make smaller and fit into the engine compartment, but the overall process would be almost the same 😁
