Guys you can catch sandfleas without the rake. All you need to do is stand in the surf and dig you feet in as the waves come in, creating a "bowl". Then as the water goes out again just look inside your "bowl" and there will be sandfleas trying to borrow themselves back into the sea sand. We used to do this all the time as kids! The crab net would also work well - just put it in front of your feet and use your feet to stir up the sand as the water goes out, flushing the fleas into the net!

Ole Ron's been pampered all his life. You haven't lived , truly had the real flavor of a decent fish meal until you've experienced fish cooked whole. Get over a bone or two here or there. It's not embarrassing to extract one occasionally. The awesome flavor of that fish being cooked whole will eventually keep you from worrying about it. YUM YUM. lol

Rabbit fish are damn fine eating! When I was shrimping we caught them all the time. I never saw one that big, though, and I never heard of one way up on the beach like that. You slice down the back through the skin, stick yout thumb and forefinger in, and strip the skin and guts right off, then twist the head off and you have almost pure meat, like a big fishy chicken leg.
