I remember the night this highly anticipated series premiered in November 1981. My cousin and I couldn’t wait to watch. We were in the mall with our moms and thought we would miss it. We got home and enjoyed it. Sadly it didn’t last long. We were fans of anthology shows.
I loved this show when I was twelve! It was on Friday night after Dallas on another channel. I think it was abc. Scared the crap out of me. I'll never forget the episode with the man who couldn't walk and the chainsaw!!
OMG! What a gas! I saw this when I was teenager, and many years later, this friend of mine was telling me about this great, really original movie he'd just seen (Frequency w/Dennis Quaid, 1999) and I tell him, you know, I remember there was some Twilight Zone type anthology show I saw where... and I told him this story best I could remember it, and we agreed, it had to be the inspiration for that movie. Wonder if it was ever acknowledged.
I agree there is a very high probability this inspired Frequency I guess it's common in the TV and Film industry to beg borrow or steal ideas without necessarily referencing the Inspiration. Glad I could bring this back to you either way 🙂

@@sethcashman1011 No worries. It seems to be going down very well!
I loved this episode as a kid but i was obsessed with exactly why his broadcast about a troop ship caused the Allies to lose the war.

Thank you so much.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I love this show !! Anymore??
Unfortunately this is the only episode I have 😢
I have the whole series but this is the best quality I’ve seen. I’m curious if this is off-air because it appears to be from a 3/4” dub.
JoBlo Horror Originals brought me here.
Lawrence Pressman.
Upload the series if you can
I wish I could. This is the only episode I have 🥺
