I ve ran the full marathon. But didn t you have the marathon next week? I heard it s not optimal to have a run that big before a week until race day. I heard you should tappering 2 weeks before.
It's a weird thing, but I love the sound of running; the sound of the feet hitting the pavement or dirt road. When I used to run, listening to my steps actually kept me going.
I think Nico is one of the true ones. Like he is actually running the 20 miles. Some just act like they ran 20. Respect to you man. Love your vids and your choice of music. Good luck for Chicago
i started running because of you bro thank you i started about 5 months ago i didnt like it at first now i love it started with not being able to run for 5 minutes without stopping tonight i ran for 1 and a half hours without stopping following ur tips thank u bro it now feels like a hobby and good luck in chicago🤟❤
This is my first time commenting on one of your videos, Nico, and I want to start by saying thank you for all of your time and effort that you put into your content. I’ve been watching and supporting you for 2 years now, and I’ve really implemented a lot of your tips and recommendations into my own runs. Although I wouldn’t consider myself a professional runner, I do consider myself an athletic person because I am an active runner. For example, when I don't have an event, I will run twice a week, but these are my short and steady runs, and then on the weekend I run one long distance run. Now when I have an event like 5K, 10K, or half marathon, I change and adjust my training, etc. But anyways, I’m oversharing now, and I just want to say once more thank you because all last year, your content was there to support me for 7 months, and in March of this year I pulled through and completed my first ever marathon all thanks to your content, bro. Now I’m starting all over from scratch-all in preparation for my 2nd marathon in March of 2025. Oh, the marathon is the farthest I have ever run in one whole day. To end this massive comment, I will be looking out for your next video and I also want to wish you the best for your last 2 weeks of training in preparation for the Chicago marathon.
Thank you so much for the comment and all the support, it means a lot to me! Congrats on your first marathon that’s an incredible accomplishment!! Keep up the great work 🙏🏼
i love your music choices and cinematic shots in your youtube videos. I am trying to post youtube videos more and you have inspired me. I’ve been seeing your videos since 2020 when you started posting on tik tok and it’s crazy how much you’ve improved. nothing but blessings 🙏
Dude you're so right about having a short memory! I ran my 20 miler a week ago and I did it on a route that was WAY hillier than I've been used to for this training block and it wrecked me, but keeping that in the past and not getting in my head about the fact that I'll have to run 6.2 more miles than that in a week and a half is a struggle but SO important. Thanks for the keeping up the videos! I watch them on my long run days to get motivated! Good luck in Chicago!
Nico this week I just hit 1 year of running. This has completely changed my life and the way I see things. Just wanted to thank you because your videos have been a key cornerstone of this journey. I'm gonna be running the Miami Half Marathon in February next year, if you're there it would be nice to meet you. Thanks again and keep up the great work. Greetings from Colombia.
Another great video. The tough runs allow me to appreciate the great ones even more. I PR-ed a 10k yesterday on a random Friday. It feels amazing when everything feels good and smooth. Good luck in Chicago!
I used to sit on my couch in this same apartment complex and watch your videos and get inspired to get up and run. So cool to see you in the same location I used to be running and continuing to inspire me now from Florida.
My man does it again! 🔥Always such awesome production quality, vibes and advice given out. These videos genuinely makes my week and puts a smile on my face while motivating me to life live the best way possible. Can never go wrong with some Nico content while curb-stomping a giant burrito for dinner 😁
Absolutely love your videos! As a runner for the past 24 years i still remember how difficult it was dialing in on fueling and hydration for long runs. Your inspiration and encouragement to the running community is unmatched and I bet you would make a great coach if you ever wanted to make that leap. Any way, you are great at showing your fueling but wondering or feel as if it would be beneficial to your audience to see your hydration strategy as well. Especially as it appeared you ran 20 miles in crazy heat without a sip of water. Unless you are part camel I doubt that was the case 😂😂 Thank you for sharing all your hard work and enjoy every step in Chicago!!!
1: by far the best spaghetti sauce ever 2: can you do a video on pre-run and post-run stretching/preparation or how you make sure you’re preventing injury and muscle soreness? 3: Are any marathons planned for after Chicago?
Nico, you’re my favourite TH-camr. You motivate me to go on runs every day. I’ve got a cross country race tomorrow, I hope I do well. But thank you so much man, keep up the good work ❤🙏
Definitely respect your consistency and the level you are running at! Im excited for your growth however i DEFINITELY recommend loading up on more protein. Been hybrid training for years and id say being consistent with having enough protein really helps for both running, lifting, and both! Cheers mate! Love your vids
Always an air of authenticity to your vidoes that make them relatable as another professional athlete. I can tell you love the sport and feel it as the center piece. Its great :) Enjoy your race!
Yesterday evening i ran 1 mile and it was one of the worst runs i've ever experienced but this morning i ran 3 miles with my brother and it was definitely one of my Best runs!!!
Nico, as always the best running channel on TH-cam. A reality Vlog and you are not afraid to be honest about things. Love love love your content! I never run with music, there is just something about running in silence. Hard to explain but yesh you are a true motivator. Good luck in Chicago bro! I ran 28KM Sunday after watching this ✌️💪. Keep up the good work. I cant buy your merch sadly, when will you be posting to the UK? Love from the UK ❤
HEY Nico awesomeee video as always, you're killing it bro!!! I'd like another kind of video wherre you post how your trains are planed? Do you have a coach or are you using an app, etc, etc... Thanks for ur content🔥
yoo nico fire edits and video like always 🔥 currently nursing some bruised ribs from our football game last night hoping to get back into the swing of things soon tho
The reason why you are not hungry after a long run or a hard track session for example is that lactate suppresses appetite. Basicaly it can cross over your blood brain barrier and in hypotalamus it alters the production of ghrelin and leptin. Which are the hormones resposible for hunger. Hope it helps. Its a bit simplified but the takeaway is simply that lactate can suppress appetite.
Hi, I’ll be visiting Arizona this winter from Korea, and I can’t wait to run there ! Every shot of Arizona in your video makes me excited! and Would you please let me know What model of Strava do you use? I just got your blue crew neck and Kane 😊😊
this is how i eat. love seeing guys like lionel and nico eating picky, rather than someone like nick bare eating his super sophisticated veggie wrapped, humus dipped, elk off the traeger
The current weather forecast for Sunday in Chicago should have you running in low to mid 50’s. Your Arizona training is the hard part. This will be a breeze for you
Hey nico...idk if you are reading this but if you do please reply. I started my fitness fat to fit journey an year and a half ago with running only which i did for quite a while and lost 12 to 14 pounds mostly fat. Then i got into the gym but stopped running. Now i wanna get back into running but this time along with gym cause honestly gym is addictive. Any tips on managing both. Also please drop your workout split. Thans
What’s the farthest you’ve ever ran?
15mi 🤣Covid led to some extremes
20 miles
5k (meaning a 5km run, 3.2 miles) I'm confused why this has more likes
14 miles. I’m a track guy tho

Agreed!
For me, it's listening to my every breath
Not weird at all, I enjoy it also 😊

I was gonna ask do you have that for every run or how often?
Hello and big like, what do you think your next watch will be?
Are you going to do an Ironman next year?
Ran right past my parents neighborhood too. Small world
Do you run with your whole camera set up?
running like this in arizona is impressive. Cause that heat is different 🤢
It’s awful
