I love my 2013 E92 M3 ZCP manual. Its a garage queen with 40k miles on it. I drive it on weekends and nice days. It always puts a smile on m y face. Plus I love the LeMans Blue Metallic with the fox red interior. I think these will definitely be collectible in the future.
Hi, I've just bought a 2008 E92 in Alpine white with a manual gearbox. Has done just 50K miles and I think is mostly stock but I'm pretty sure the exhaust is aftermarket. Makes a lovely noise. I debated about whether to get a DCT or manual but ended up going for a manual for the extra involvement. Plan on doing a few minor mods but nothing too crazy. Prices all over the place here in the UK from around £13K for scruffy high mileage cars to £35+ for later, low mileage Competition spec examples.
Congrats! sounds like the perfect spec. I really miss my 08 manual. That car would probably be worth $40k here in the US. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Check out the M3 videos on the channel. Thank you.
These are great cars. Really quick steering and that engine are the highlights for me. Comp pack doesn’t add much so not sure I’d pay $10k extra for that, if that’s what they go for in the states
As for BMW, what has impressed me is the resale values of the late year model f80 M3s with comp pkg. But then when I see the new pricing of the g80s comp pkg, I can see why.
Interesting video, but the sound quality was awful (muffled and echoe), I struggled to make out what you were saying 🙁 Btw, if the rod bearings were replaced with extra clearance ones, they shouldn't need changing again (insufficient clearance is the main problem with many of the OEM bearings).
@@GlennsCarCollection thanks so much. I bought a 2011 1 owner e92 6mt with the competition and moonroof … clean title 78000 mikes… novillo leather and every feature / alpine white… for 28700 about a year ago from a Florida bmw dealer. I hope that it is worth more now and will keep appreciating
The E92 M3 is great, but it is more like a weekend car, not a daily. It is gas hog and maintenance high. For a V8, it is pretty slow. I have a supercharged E92 328i FBO 6MT making more power yet more reliable and weights about 3k.
Great point... I did use my e90 manual M3 as a daily. Two kids in baby seats, showing my clients commercial properties during the week and autocross and spirited drives on the weekends. I averaged 17 mpg. I spent a lot on gas.
I think the best time to buy these cars is already past. I bought mine in 2018 when people weren't paying as much attention to them as now. But if you want one I'd say do it now as the nice examples will continue to creep up. The rough/high mileage examples will probably always be relatively cheap, but the nice ones are getting more collectable.
these cars have always been on my avoid list because of 3 major factors. Expensive maintenance, horrible fuel Econ, and weight. They also made a lot of them. Id have an e46 over this car as well as the f80. Unless you have to have the v8 m3
Hmm, point 1, surely the same with any high performance car? 2. Yep! lol 3. Weight? Compared to what? The e92 manuals are about 1580 kgs, the DCT another 30-40 kgs or so. 4. They made more e46 M3s than e9xs. The e46 M3s are cool too though :), bar their standard exhaust sound, sounds tiny and rattley, horrible!
I honestly think the E90 is really ugly. One of the worst bmw put out in my opinion, however, the E92/3 is one of the most beautiful mean looking cars.
I love the look of the e92 too (hence I bought one 😉), I don't think the e90 looks ugly, but the middle and back just looks too ordinary, can hardly tell the difference between them from my 330d e90 (middle and back).
i disagree. now is the time to get a nice older f80,82,83 m3/4. the e90 has pricey issues like the throttle actuators, and rod bearings. they are kinda slow compared to todays bmws and the tech is old. the lci hardtop cars 11-13 are already going way up in price and getting a good rate for financing on an older car sucks.
@@MrPTManning what point am i missing? the platform isnt all that great. your getting the novelty of having a high revving v8 that makes no torque down low, that is it.
@@motaz1975 The point of the E9x M3 is all about fun and feel, which is the point of any older car vs newer cars. Simple as that. The tech in the F80s is quickly going out of date too, so why does tech in a performance car matter? If all that matters is performance numbers and tech, then just wait a couple years and get a used G80 M3. The less tech a car has, the better it will age, and E9x cars aren't as stuffed full of it as the F8x cars. And if the E9x platform isn't that great, well I guess someone forgot to tell the guys who make Schirmer M3s in Germany that.
@@MrPTManning throw enough money at almost any modern platform and it will perform around a track. idk, i just dont get it. the f80 platform is a better car in almost every way, you can still get decent financing on them too.
@@motaz1975 Your points are valid. Objectively, an F80 M3 is a better car than an E90/E92 M3, just like a G80 M3 is objectively better than an F80. Newer cars are almost always objectively better than older ones. But it's the subjective things and the fun factor that make the E9x M3s desirable to enthusiasts. It's like comparing Porsche 997s to the newer 991s. Objectively, 991s are better cars, but in the long term it's the 997s that will be more interesting and desirable to most enthusiasts. But at the end of the day, it's really about personal preference.
In my opinion you shouldn't buy one... you should buy 2! Haha I love mine, best M car I've owned 😁
I totally agree!
I have a manual E90 and want another one with the DCT lol
@USNRET610 haha yep, I have a manual E92 and also want an E90 with dct. One NA and the other with an ESS G1 supercharger would be a sweet combo 😍
Best car I’ve ever owned. Never selling! Love hearing the S65 melody. 🚗 💨
Couldn't agree more!
Agree, have 2011 manual, comp, stock pristine, 56k miles, 6yrs 2nd owner. (don't want one w 4 or 5 owners, they didn't 'own it' the rented)
8:34 is not a Lime Rock Edition (you guys in the States got those)..... the one you show, 61 plate, is an M3 GTS, UK Spec.

Fantastic Video. I have a 2008 E93, 6MT single hump. Great car, love it and it's not going anywhere. It's a keeper.

yes but for not much longer
I would love to have that with my 04 E46 & 09 E63 both 6 speed m

@@GlennsCarCollection yes it would, but then I would have to find a E30 M3 to complete and would be very expensive

Especially if there’s no V8 in the next 20 years this would be worth $2million
If you can find a lower mileage one at a reasonable price go for it.
Good idea !
