The arm rest is split into two because the side closest to the driver slides forward for a better arm rest. The dial on the heater vents is so when you have the heat on and are getting sleepy from the warm air you can turn that dial and just the drivers vent will blow cold air on your face to help wake you up. Such a beautiful car, E-92 is in my opinion is the the best M3. Not the fastest, but the best drives car out of the line up!
Really enjoyed that video mark, my favourite m3 is the e46 csl. It would be an absolute dream come true to own one in grey. Them e92 v8 monsters are gorgeous too! And like you say that sound won’t be beaten either. 🔥

you don't override the climate control, you just turn the front facing air vents cold/warm, ignoring the temperature you set on the climate control. For example, you've set your climate to 23 but you are getting sleepy, you will turn the manual leaver to cold, and the 3 front facing vents will spit out cold air, while the rest of the car is still set on warm air.
Drivers side of the arm rest slides back and forth to avoid the handbrake and the thermostat in the middle of the vents is red for heating vent same as the rest of the car and the blue side is for fresh air and not heating/aircon. Great vids, i need these cars in my life 👊

Actually the e92 M3 manual weighs 1580 kg, and btw the V8 is 15 kg lighter than the I6 in the E46 M3 😉 And I hope you were joking that CO2 emissions affect the ozone layer, lol. Lovely car you've got anyway 😎, although I would say that as I have a nearly identical one! And by blind luck I bought it just a little before the prices shot up! (bought 11/19)
I had an E92 M3. I loved it but had to sell it when we had our first child as it was a money pit (both child and car lol). But I bought him a baby grow saying "Daddy sold his M3 for me". Within months of getting it the throttle body actuators went. So anyone looking at buying one find out if they have been changed yet. If not you will probably want to. oh and my seat belt arm stopped working as well. Became a pain in the arse as its actually quite far behind you to do manually

For my f31, the Analog heat control dial only adjusts the heat for the top 4 blowers so you can have toasty feet without hot air blowing in your face. Most likely the same for this gen too
What is the best m3? Probably got to be the original e30 cos that’s where it all started. But for me the e46 is the nicest of the lot bulletproof 3.2 straight 6 and the perfect body line to match 👌 great vids Mark and Jordan 🔥🔥

@@MarkMcCann64 S52, S54, S65, S85 all have rod bearing clearance issues. The S65/85 cars get a bum rap for it but in reality my neighbor had to do them in his E46 and E36 M3 as well. They’re pretty much a consumable item with stock clearances. Aftermarket bearings with greater clearance are available but it’s still one of those 60k mile big service line items for peace of mind. Perhaps an M car thing?

The armrest splits into two allowing the driver side to be moved up so that you can keep your elbow there more comfortably :)

You can get the quarter mile down to 9 sec with a decat and tune. Thats gives it the edge

6:57 Easily rectified with an MMI solution such as mr12volt. Brought my M3 cabin tech up to date.

The split armrest - you can push one of the sections forward towards the front to the gear shift to extend the arm rest if you have shorter arms
