I watched the live stream this event was crazy, he stayed in control of that speed that’s all you can really do there, staying on the heel side gave him the advantage of being able to see down the mountain and work his way over to his left and hit the features he wanted to hit, great run Vic!
Bro did not do a single turn on the "first face", just "sliding" down...why is everything (snowboard men/women and ski women) compared to ski men so different. Only ski men are doing crazy tricks and drops.
It was icy man. Víctors board Jones Aviator 2.0 is excellent at ice but you can not compare with the total effective edge of 2 skis plus stability of 2 poles. With good snow Victor shreds as good or even better than most skiers. Go and check latest The North Face video with Victor and a skier riding together.
Do you snowboard at all? 😂😂 That top bit was crazy steep. The only other people I'd consider watching on this kind of terrain, are Xavier De La Rue and maybe Travis Rice. There were way too many rocks on the left 😮 I've bussed my ass in Steep, trying that, let alone a guy trying it in real life😅.
I think snowboarding is more difficult. Snowboarders have a single board and go down sideways, which makes balance much more difficult. Skiers have two boards, go down from the front and help themselves with their poles. I think it's easier to do all kinds of tricks this way. They almost seem like two completely different sports. But it's just my opinion.
Crazy control and mad speed on those conditions. He is indeed a Pirineyst

You get twice the edge length with skis, that's twice as much grip in icy conditions. This run impresses me a lot more than the winning skier tbh.
